Website designers

Yeah nook, Who is making it?
Also i suggest just doing Ebay,
Its cheaper, easier and making your own website is a NIGHTMARE.
Trust me, i've done it

It's be pretty hard to get a web developer (a designer couldn't do this sort of thing) who is willing to make such a website for you. If you did, they'll probably charge closer to the thousands, since there's a ton of security stuff involved. Plus, if you're running a site that does transactions, you'll need to be protecting your customers and database somehow to prevent identity theft. Even then, it's recommended you have a good lawyer on tab.

Though, there is a method through PayPal that you could go through that lets them take care of all the transaction stuff for you, so most of the legal responsibility would be on them.

Either way, you'll be needing a web developer for something like this, and we tend to charge a bit more than web designer, since it goes a whole lot more in depth.

I now have a web developer who knows exactly what to do
(the web debveloper is a member at tbt)

Who did it? And if you're not paying someone over 100 euros, or whatever, you're more of an idiot/cheapskate than I thought you were.

And like Jas0n said, if you are going to have money transactions, you need lawyers, uber firewall security, A LICENSE TO SELL STUFF, etc.

You have to have a selling license in order to sell stuff on your own accord. Ebay and amazon are different stories, but making a store and selling stuff costs a license. You can't just do this on a whim. Moron.

Wasn't that me who said that? XD

But yeah, I forgot about that. You'll probably need a tax license, as well. Starting your own business isn't easy.

You'll probably be better off going through Ebay or Amazon, like Bacon Boy said. =p

And yea, you have to be include tax AND you will be majorly audited, no matter which govt. you have for running your own business.

Nooky, you sound like you're pretty young, so where would you even get this kind of money?

I said I'll see about it, I need to get a pay before I start it.
I still don't recommend it. It doesn't seem legal. You have to go through a lot of stuff before you can even consider making the website. Again, a license to sell, a tax representative, etc.

My intuition: It's gonna fail... completely unless you happened to have done all the legal stuff... and happen to have a lawyer nearby handy...

Ooh wow.
Does this count for the MMC website.

Only if you're selling stuff.

Another thing (sorry again for the dp) but did you make these items? (I highly doubt this) Because if you're selling brand named items, you can get sued, fined, and arrested, unless you have the company's permission, but then they'd get a % of the profit.
