Was your first campsite visitor a smug villager?

I just saw on the Animal Crossing wiki that "the initial camper will always be a Smug" ; that is false.
I got a Peppy villager as my forced camper, Bella! I already had Audie at the time that I picked on an island. So it's pretty weird that I got another Peppy... I already had had an automatic random Smug prior to the campsite, though.

My friend got Cherry, an uchi, as her campsite villager, I mean it wouldn't be weird at all if she didn't have a smug dialogue, but she did! That's what surprised me the most tbh, it's like the game meant the forced camper to be a smug but some non-smug villagers was able to camp on it anyways...

Sadly yes and it was Zell who is still around so hoping to kick him with next campsite villagers, or that he moves out on his own. Honestly there are worse but he's incredibly boring lol

My first was not Smug but the Female version, Snooty. Ankha! I have her amiibo cards so it was a given. ;P I actually have never gotten a Smug villager in my campsite.

I think I just slowly started to hate his design! And I used to have a ton of smug villagers in NL so I've started to grow tired of the dialogue :')

Update -- I found an old picture I took of Truffles when she first appeared in the campsite. Definitely the dialogue of a smug villager!

i got marshal as my first camper! im surprised to know that most of the time the first campers are smug :0 thought they were super random

Mine was Hippeux, a smug too. I'd assumed the 6th was always a smug from the campsite that you had to invite.

Mine was a smug! I got Curlos. I initially thought he was pretty "meh" but have grown to like him a lot! It's interesting though to see how many people got smug (I too thought it was 100% random).

I remember clear as day, that my first campsite villager was Vladimir. He is indeed not a smug, but a cranky.

I didn't really have any interest in keeping him, so he got kicked. But he's not the worst first campsite villager to get.

mine was Camofrog, a cranky! my first two villagers were Phoebe (uchi) and Rowan (jock)
I liked Camofrog, but he ased to move out quite soon and I was like 'why not' so I didn't have him very long
