Was/Is ACNL in game music more relaxing than ACNH ?

i have the nook extension for google chrome just to listen to hourly ACNL music.
new horizons' soundtrack is fine but i'm not a huge fan of the guitar-focused direction? it also lacks that synth-y chiptune percussion... sound? that makes it so very Animal Crossing. (im definitely not a sound designer so idk what it's called lol)
also i'm really missing the tunes changing for rain/snow/etc.

I looked it up & apparently the composer for ACNL & AC:WW is the same person who composed the music for Breath of the Wild & Wii Fit! It makes so much sense now... her name is Manaka Kataoka!

Can we just have an option bug Isabelle & ask her to change the music?
Or make the tracks available like kk songs so I can have some 5am over here & some 5 pm over there lol
I prefer the NL ost overall though there are some good NH tracks.

OMG! i just read this and this would be such an easy implementation to the game, I would love to tell Isabell which K.K songs I was through out the day or maybe we could have the option to select the morning/noon/evening and night themes.

Yeah... I completely agree with you, I also find a super duper pitty that the tunes dont change to match the weather condition in the specific time. I said it before too but I really dont like how the music or tune overrides rain, snow, wind storm etc

I'm not a fan of NH's hourly music either. It's one of the most disappointing parts of the game honestly. I loved New Leaf and the Gamecube's music so much better. New Leaf's 7PM was my personal favorite.

NH's music isn't distinct enough and it tends to drown out any outdoor music players. I agree with several others here that there should be an option to play different hourly music from past games, maybe even mix and match from different games.

I like the feel of ACNL and it's past games so much better than ACNH's soundtrack. Personally am not a fan of it's soundtrack, especially the hourly music. They all sound the same to me.

New Leaf's music had something about it that I really enjoyed. But when I started up NH, the feeling I got in NL just kind of... left. Probably why I don't play the game as often as I thought I would when I got the game. (it bugs me that bad-- and for some reason, the sfx used when animals talk also bugs me but that's another story for another day)

I like both. To me they each have some good and bad tracks and some are more relaxing than others. But I don't prefer one game's soundtrack over the other.

The composers that worked on the older tracks took a backseat and just oversaw the soundtrack for NH. They weren't the ones composing it this time, from what I've gathered. It kind of reminds me why Avatar the Last Airbender felt so much better than Korra and I couldn't figure out why. Mike and Bryan (the creators) were there, so why was it so different?

Then I did some digging and their lead writer Aaron Ehasz did not come back for Korra. And then it all made sense.

i personally think that nl and ww had the best soundtracks, and I hated nh’s soundtrack when I first heard it. but I love 5 am and 6 pm in nh. i think nl and ww have flawless soundtracks though, and I’m not saying that in a biased way. gc’s music is pretty great too!

Honestly, I don't remember the music in New Leaf outside of K.K. Slider's songs. Hence, I voted for New Horizons.
