Anyone getting Wargroove? It's coming out for Switch/PC/Xbox One and it is an Advanced Wars/Fire Emblem style strategy game. It looks right up my alley so I'm hoping to get it as soon as I can afford it. I think there is local multiplayer and online multiplayer, and build your own stages.

Release date is tomorrow (Feb 1st)!

I'll wait for a few reviews to pop up, but I've had it on my wish list since I saw it and noticed the obvious similarities to Fire Emblem. I like the look of it, has some good designs, can't say I've looked into the gameplay much though. Just assumed "it's basically Fire Emblem".

Kinda been wanting a new one of 'these' types of strategy games to play, so I'll be all over this so long as it's not terrible.

A lot of places have already reviewed, I think it's averaging an 8.5! Really good in my opinion!

Lol, actually got a discount coupon on Steam for this. Don't think I'll buy it since I definitely shouldn't waste on games on Steam if anything lol.

It looks cool though.

Looks pretty nice but I've never been a big fan of strategy games except maybe King Arthur's World on the SNES. Wish there was a demo because I'm interested in this. Maybe I'll just check it out on Youtube.

Yeah if they did a good demo not like annoying eShop things then yeah it could have potential to be buy-worthy I suppose. But yeah I'm careful with those strategy games before I buy...

I've been playing it, and it's really enjoyable so far!

I think it's definitely catered to the turn-based strategy genre. The gameplay is fun. Not too easy, not too hard, but I have definitely lost my fair share of chapters in the campaign already. The music is quite nice. The graphics are very beautiful to look at. I am excited to start making my own maps after playing through more of the campaign.

I actually bought it a few days ago, just not had much time to play it (or anything really).

From what I've played though, yea, it's pretty good. I really like the artstyle and spritework in it.

It's based more on Advance Wars than Fire Emblem, which while I would have preferred a more FE 'permadeath' and leveling units route, it's not like Nintendo are doing anything with Advance Wars. Not that it makes the game any less good, just my expectations were a little off.

I'll be surprised if this is a game I don't finish.

I'm having a lot of fun with it so far! I love turn-based strategy games but I'm not very good at em so the difficulty sliders are a very welcome feature.

I heard that it's like Advanced Wars, which is exciting for me! I've been wanting to go back and play those games for a while now, but I didn't have a copy. So, I'm happy to get this on the Switch to play. :3

Yeah, it has a lot of similarities! I think they improved on the formula effectively.

I got a review code from the developer (Steam) and it's REALLY good. If you're on the fence about it for whatever reason, you can hop down and buy it.
