They bug me sometimes.
It can be so hard to keep track of where they are.
At least with most of the traveling shop keepers, Gulliver, and Gullivaar they stay in the same spot. Wisp also seems to stay around the same area even though he wanders.
But with Flick, CJ, Saharah, and Celeste, things get out of hand... I've had Flick start out one visit on the lower levels near the town plaza and then end up by my house. My house is all the way in the back of the island, in the mountains. CJ has traveled from one side of the island to the other one visit. Celeste isn't as bad, but if she has room she will wander. Saharah is a mix of the two groups.
And don't get me started when you have to keep track of two of them.
I don't block them off though because it seems rude to them (I know they're not real) and I don't typically have people over when they visit.
Do you feel that there are worse wandering NPCs than others?
Some of them pull the Batman on you. You see them in one spot for a second and suddenly they vanish. So far, it has been CJ and Celeste who disappear or I never find. I've only spoke to Celeste once on my island. I never see her around.
It can sometimes take me hours to realize one of them is even on my island. Plus I have some areas on cliffs that I don’t normally use and are most decorations but I have had NPCs go up there before which is slightly annoying when I’m trying to sell a lot of stuff to flick or cj
Usually for me, it's daisy mae. Since I know i'm on a 30 minute timer, i always get freaked out when I cant find her. I'll buy turnips, drop them, walk into resident services to get bells and leave immediately, and she's across the island.

I'm hardly ever playing when she visits so I end up missing her.
I don't remember Joan having the same schedule because I always was able to buy from her.
Yes omg I hate how they got rid of the megaphone that was in acnl, I used that so often to look for villagers/NPCs. Sometimes it takes me like 10 mins running around to find them since they wander so much!!
And I hate how now there's no way to tell who's visiting, I wouldn't search as hard if I knew it was Saharah, but I don't wanna miss cj or flick

I personally adore the odd speaking camel.
I like to bring his wallet happiness.
But yeah, Flick and CJ are the most helpful out of the three so it does get really annoying when they seemingly up and disappear.
Flick tends to be easy to spot if he does wander off though because he is... bright red.
Celeste is red too, but since she only appears at night her colors are muted in the dark making it harder to spot her. I typically notice her pink bow before I notice the rest of her.
Yeah I agree with you on this one, especially with Celeste since she only appears at night. I also wish we still had the megaphone from New Leaf, it would make finding them so much easier.
Can't count how many times I run through my island to find Celeste only to find her somewhere at the other end of the island, hiding at some corner where I would never thought that she would show up there. It's actually a miracle when she appears at a area where I can spot her immediately. Saharah is another strange case, after I'm done talking with her, she just disappears and pops up out of nowhere on another spot even if she just stand right next to me the moment before. Don't know how Flick & C.J. acting, as I don't pay so much attention to them, as far as I noticed they mostly stay near or around the Resident Service, at least that's where I see them quite often.
I keep finding Saharah in the back of my island. Like, lowest tier by the beach rocks in the back close to the secret beach and I hate it bc I usually spend a good amount of time looking for an npc and then after frantically running I just see her there and she's my least fave so it's just like the most unfruitful search ever. Every other npc seems to have the decency to spawn nearby the plaza so idk what her problem is.
One time almost didn't know cj visited, he spent the day behind the plaza where you could only see him if you went back there and changed the camera angle.
last week got up with only 20 minutes to buy turnips, checked the price then went and withdrew the bells, but when i went back to the area she was gone, searched but didn't refind her before the time ran out
