Villagers with hobbies & characteristics that don't match them

we have already talked about villagers with personalities not matching their designs, but how about characteristics/hobbies they do that's kinda out of character?

raymond is pretty much one of the most serious looking villagers to me, and somewhat not natural due to his clothes & glasses, so i'm shocked that his main hobby is nature. maybe nature is what he's working on? lol. also i find it funny that his "greeting" (or whatever that gesture is when you leave their house) is the 2 hand wave. he looks so formal to be doing that, with his business vibe & personality he's basically a metrosexual dude turned into a cat lmao. i feel like i wish punchy & jeremiah had that greeting as well. it looks more like them than their one-hand wave.

my sister has audie, so i only visit from time to time but i keep hearing from here that audie's main hobby is fitness? and i'm like............. anyways....

I think Raddle should have the education hobby but he loves studying nature the most. Fitness hobby is annoying tbh - I had Audie for a while on my island and all she did was work out in front of her house. It doesn't seem to fit her vibe and I thought she would be more into singing!

it's so out of character for audie, there's nothing that says "fitness" about her vibe, style OR house. what were they thinking? my jocks don't even have a fitness hobby, so i lucked out on that one lol. but i'd really want to have audie when given a chance.

you have static? he's one of my ultimate dreamies that i want to scan in soon! what's his hobby? i forgot the link of those villager hobbies list.

Static’s hobby is music!

One of my favorite things about Admiral is that his hobby is nature. I don't know that it necessarily clashes with his design, but maybe moreso with his personality. He even has a line of dialogue that indicates that, where he'll say something along the lines of "bet you didn't expect to see me watering the plants!" And I think that's cute.

Yup his hobby is music! He's always singing in front of resident services with his deep cranky voice - it's so cute

I think your description of Audie is perfect but when she was on my island she mostly just lifted weights which doesn’t fit her imo !!

I think Ribbot should’ve been education! Why does a robot need to exercise??

Octavian has the play hobby. Which is odd cause he is a cantankerous old octopus. But on the other hand the oddity kind of makes it extra cute.
Also, have not seen it myself, but I have trouble picturing phoebe lifting weights in sporty shades...

audie’s hobby is in fact, fitness. imo, that doesn’t really suit her well at all; i can definitely see her having the shopping/fashion or even the music hobby, though; she works out more than my jock villager does which is a bit silly to me aha

omg!! i was wondering if any of the cranky or snooty villagers has the play hobby, which i thought would be ridiculous lol. but say, if it's static or murphy which is like a really cute looking cranky villager, i think it'd be cute.

none of the snooty villagers should ever run though. NONE.

Rudy, which is a jock, have a play hobby. And I NEVER see him workout which is seems odd to me. And Apollo have the singing hobby, and knowing he's a cranky, I was kinda surprised

I also don’t think Audie suits fitness hobby at all. It’s what really turned me off having her as a villager. I also don’t really think Tasha suits the fitness hobby either. Honestly I just don’t think the fitness hobby is that good on villagers who aren’t jock

I think that Reneigh's hobby (play) does not fit her character at all. She looks like a snob-ish but a kind-hearted girl to me, so seeing her fooling around on the town plaza doesn't seem right to me.
