Villagers that went from "who?" to "don't leave EVER!!!"

Every villager I've gotten so far is who I wanted to stay forever. Unfortunately, because they don't have their correct house interior, I'm going to eventually have to let Pashmina and Poppy go. If you could change their house interior to the proper appearance, I'd never let them go. It's the reason I let Mott, Al, and Apple all leave. I have favorites, sure, but I never feel happy about letting villagers go.

winnie for me probably. in the town that i first had her in city folk, i was like.... ew. a horse. and her color palette is ugly too
but now, she is my number one favorite villager!! i fell in love with her when she tried to sell me a carpet and i said no bc i was BROKE and she. she complained to me that she was a carpet hoarder and had all these carpets in her basement and she was using the crying emote during her dialogue and afterwards she was moping around adfscdjsgh
it completely caught me off guard! i thought it was so funny at the time lol and she became an instant fave

It would be Benjamin for me. Sadly I had to reset my island, but I hope to find him again at some point. He had a starter house on my old save and his actual house is much cooler, so I'm not super bothered about losing him temporarily.

Bob! I was never a huge bob fan, I felt like he was over hyped. He was the first lazy I found island hopping, and I fell in love with his silly and somehow sinister face.

Katt for me as well. I met her on a mystery island and that was an instant "nope" from me. But then, somehow... She randomly moved into an empty plot. My first reaction was "you're leaving at the first ping", but Katt quickly grew on me. Now she's my favorite sisterly villager.

Sydney & Flip. Flip was my starter, and I can't picture my island without him anymore. I feel like he built this place with me, haha. Same goes for Sydney, who came as my fourth. They will never leave, eveerrrrrrr!

Cousteau! He was my starting jock along with Cherry as my uchi.

Originally when I landed on my island I thought to myself that it was a bummer to have him as a starter and that I would most likely eventually let him go and keep Cherry.

Well guess what? 5 months in and Cherry is gone but my little frog buddy is still with me. I don't see myself ever getting rid of Cousteau. He's an absolute delight to have due to how ridiculous he is. He's a small frog (with a dapper mustache) who acts like he could lift my house up... when I'm not even sure he could reach a door handle.​

she's one of those with quirky designs that just grow on you. when i saw the sisterly villagers list, even back then on acnl i was like, couldn't they design them any worse. i still think that personality lacks variety as a whole but i'm basically just glad i finally found my favorite sisterly villager. i guess it just happens like that, you don't decide them lol. her color scheme is pretty natural too which i like, her house kinda meh but it fits the area she's in which is natural/cottagecore so it fits with the rough/messy aesthetic. i really want her to stay

Bettina and Timbra were like this in new leaf for me. I remember seeing them and being like.... how did I not know about you two?

I’ve moved away from Bettina but now Timbra is one of my favorite villagers for sure and will never leave mybisland

Carmen! I almost passed her up on a mystery island because I was looking for only cat villagers.
She was so cute. I just couldn't say no. She is now my favorite female villager on my island, along
with Felicity. I would never make her move unless Snake moved out. Then she would be the only
bunny, and I would feel so sad for her.

Ursula! She was one of my OGs, and while at first I wanted her to move out, she's now my absolute favorite! I love how she looks like she has anxiety lol. I moved her house next to mine, and now we share a front yard and flower garden.

Nan and Raddle. I picked them because I was in a hurry to find decent villagers for my three starter houses, now they're permanent and I won't even consider anyone else.

Dizzy when I first played back in NL. Poppy was the only starter I really liked and I kind of ignored the rest. And then she was like "you know, it's OK to talk to others". So I did and then ended up falling in love with his big ol' blissful head. He has the same side smile as Jingle!
