I just had Ankha give me an item. She told me to thank Apple as it was a gift that she received from her. Yet, Ankha referred to Apple as 'he/him'. So I am very confused xD Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone know why this happened?

Yeah, that particular line of dialogue just happens to have that typo in it. I'm kind of surprised it got past editing, and I don't know why they didn't just correct it in the Welcome Amiibo update.

I think I remember this happening to me before I went on my long haitus. There is another issue I feel like they should have fixed in the update, but I can't remember.

I remember a villager I got from a friend (I think it was Dora) talking about one of the player characters in the town they used to live in but they called the character a "he" and I know it was actually a she.

Happens in Pocket Camp too, give Fuischa snacks, and she'll thank you calling you girlfriend, wether you're male or female.
Either they hired an SJW who's fetish it is to misgender people, or they're not doing a good job of testing.

XD I noticed that with other villagers in PC. They will misgender me, even though I chose when I made the account, my correct gender.

But in Fuischa's case, I believe that is her common phrase in all games.

Shari is always doing that. It’s like when your grandparents always call the dog a boy no matter what the dang thing is

I think it's a translation issue or just random dialogue, I think there are pieces of dialogue that are just there for all the villagers, no matter the situation. Like when: "Can you take the this to Camofrog?" and Camofrog is 2 steps away or they ask for fruit from a tree they're right next to.
They aren't programmed to be aware.

Oh that's just what a snooty villager would say when giving you a gift. For example, if Francine (a snooty) had a bad relationship with say, Agnes(female uchi), she would say "You can also thank Agnes for the gift, as I'm regifting a gift he gave me, well don't actually thank him!" Snooties will only ever say something like that relating to female villagers they again, have a bad relationship with.

That is so weird!
