Villagers crafting recipes

When you enter villager houses and they're crafting recipes, can they only give you certain ones? For the past 3-4 days ive only gotten ones I already know and they're all basic ones such as the wooden table of simple DIY workbench. Am I just unlucky or can they only gift diy recipes from a certain pool?

I have a few that I already knew. But, I almost always get something new from them. I have no idea if certain personalities give certain recipes or not.

I've only got one repeat recipe. It was the wreath that I made to unlock the houses. Villager said to give the recipe to a friend.
Player 2 dropped by her house and got the recipe. Gave the recipe to my 2nd island.
