Villagers can now sit on the chairs at club lol?

not always. in fact in never happened with me before the update.

Pretty sure they've always been able to. I've only ever seen one villager, past or present show up, and sometimes I'm there by myself.

Hum, I can't really assure you it was before or not... but in my opinion, I would bet this is a new feature because I don't remember I ever saw anyone sitting. My villagers were always standing up, only me was "allowed" to sit down
