Villagers and their Umbrellas

Recently I have figured out that Villagers change their umbrellas if you put them in retail and they buy it! Now of course sometimes they just keep it in their house and their original umbrella is still in use. Nevertheless I thought it was neat that you can change that! I kind of figured that the umbrellas were like the Flooring and Wallpaper, in the sense that you can't change them.

Haha, it kind of matches his Pink fur! I mean I think it is really cool that a Cranky Bear has cute frilly stuff!

I just ordered some more paper parasols and I think I might just send it directly to them as well!

Sort of like a palm frond we always see pharaohs being fanned with? Or evocative of a lotus flower. It suits her.

I rather like the umbrellas my villagers came with.

Whaaaaaaat my mind is blown!! I had no idea. I don't know how I feel about this. I don't think i'd ever try to change any of my villagers umbrella's though because I always thought of it like wallpaper and flooring. It's something unique to that villager so I wanna keep it how it is c:

I'm basically doing that in my Japanese town! I might have a variety of the maple leaf and paper parasol ~

It really gives me OCD that villagers don't have matching umbrellas with their appearance or have the same umbrellas that doesn't even suit them. For example, Egbert (who I am going to move out) is a yellow and orange chicken, yet he has a bright blue umbrella. But this is cool! I didn't know that they could change umbrellas! Time to make them look pretty!
If only you could change villagers' wallpaper and flooring though...

I gave a daisy umbrella to Caroline and she actually used it! It fits her well.

Oh wooow I had no idea!! I really think Stitches ought to have something far more colorful and silly than his current black one. I guess I'll be buying umbrellas more often now and sending them out to the suited villager! This would be a wonderful trick for a themed town with a fitting umbrella.

Too bad, when you upload your dream address while it's raining in your town. Everyone will be carrying the umbrella that fits the town's theme.. while your character and side characters carry those plain old blue and red umbrellas. -sigh-
