Villager won't ping?

I've been cycling in my town nonstop for almost 12 hours now....and have had 48 pings. Every single villager except the one villager I want to move has pinged me...

Is this just bad luck, or is there something else going on? Why won't the villager move?

Oh my. There are people who report never getting their most recent move-in to ping, though a few have done it. Is this your most recent move-in? (And if not, btw, did your most recent one ping?) I don't think there are any real tips to target a specific villager - I aggressively befriend them, but others ignore them and whack them on the head.

Like SoSu said, if it's your 10th villager, it might be harder to get him or her to ping. Some people say it's impossible.

If it's another villager, you just have to be patient. Whoever moves out is random, so some villagers will ping a lot and others much less. People swear by different methods like ignoring them or befriending them too much, but I've had the best results with villagers I spoke to daily but not a lot.

Thank you guys so much...it is my most recent move in...but I have gotten my recent move ins in the past to ping very easily...idk why this is happening. >_<

As for TTing, I'm using the DS clock and creating new files because I don't want to lose any of my other dreamies...

He said "move ins" meaning the latest villager that has moved into his town, not player.

I just wonder if there's something causing the villager to be stuck....
