Villager Umbrellas!

I don't know if this is old news or what, but if you send a villager a umbrella then they'll use it!
I sent Marshal a lacy parasol as a test, and now he's using that instead of his mint umbrella

edit/ there's also the possibility they're display it unfortunately, but displaying an umbrella is still better than displaying a ugly shirt, right? ;D

What are your favourite umbrellas? Do you think some villagers suit other umbrellas more than their default ones?

I'm still finding out all my villagers favourites, hasn't rained much in Fables yet! But I didn't know you could make them swap so that is awesome! Gotta decide now whether I let Erik keep his ghost umbrella or give him the maple one now... decisions decisions lol!

Definitely keeping Chief and Julians, they are so cute with their Spider and Blue Dot Umbrella respectively!

Yeah. I sent Julian Peach's parasol and he just displayed it.

I didn't know until now actually, I sent Apple an umbrella and she put it in her house sigh

Wait a few weeks... they'll put it into re-tail. XP
And if it is an item that can't go into re-tail, they'll just hand it to you as "a gift".

haha true, I've actually sent some villagers umbrellas because I wanted them to display them, but then they started using them!! So I guess it depends?

yea I wouldn't try with non-orderable ones lol luckily plenty of the orderable ones are really cute!!

Yeah my two faves are the Maple and Leaf umbrellas! The only unorderable I really love is the Petal Parasol, and I used to adore the Peach Parasol in City Folk but haven't had it on New Leaf yet!

I've known it for awhile. It's really cute.
I sent Katt the ghost umbrella because it's my favorite and it just looks adorable with her.
I sent Molly/Bill the petal umbrella and leaf umbrella.
Sent Marina the Lacy umbrella.
Ummm...I think I sent Apollo the black one but I think he may be using something different now.
Sent Genji, Zucker, and Kabuki the paper parasol.

I generally just send whatever I think fits the character best.

My favorite is the ribbon umbrella. It reminds me of Animal Crossing for the GameCube because I remember a lot of my villagers then used it.

Also, on topic, I did not know you could change the umbrellas! I knew about the music, but not umbrellas. I'm gonna have to try it.

I been trying so hars to get Barold use the leopard umbrella lol but he stick so much to his ghost umbrella so I just let it off xD they can use/wear whatever they want as long as it is not duplicate xD
