Villager connection SUCCESS stories--share them with me!

On the opposite end of the spectrum of my last thread, I'd like to hear your happy stories of connecting with villagers!

In my case, it'd be with Maple. I had her in my NL town around midway through NL's "life cycle" after I got her amiibo card. I didn't even know she existed at the time and thought she was kind of cute, so I let her live there. She moved right next to my house so we ended up interacting a lot because every morning I'd wake up and she'd be right outside tending to flowers or something. We talked so often and hung out so much she was my first villager photo!

Fast forward to NH, Maple was my first amiibo villager to invite. I was worried the magic wouldn't be here this time but I'm so happy it was! It happened just like before, though this time she lived pretty far from my house. We spoke a lot, I gave her plenty of presents (she wore most of them!!) she gave me all sorts of gifts and she gave me the nickname cupcake (that everyone else in town then stole) I gave her a dress one day and in return she gave me her photo--my first, and currently only, of NH! I was so happy I put it up on the wall by my bedroom desk.

I'll be honest and say I really only liked Bunnie growing up because my sister gave her a really dumb greeting in Wild World that absolutely cracked us up when we were really young. I never liked Bunnie beyond that joke and thought she was kinda eh.

I was looking for a new peppy in NH and Bunnie crossed my mind a couple of times since I wanted a rabbit peppy villager (I have a bunny irl so I wanted one in AC too), but I never thought I'd pick her as my peppy. I made a thread here and some of the screenshots and stories shared by others convinced me to reconsider her as a replacement for Audie. I've had her for a little bit now and I love her! She is the perfect peppy for my island and I'm glad she's finally home!

So it's not a perfect happy story, but it ended up great! I'm glad that my opinion changed.

I love this!! I'm really glad you found a good replacement for Audie, I'm still in the process of trying to do the same haha. Having a history with a villager makes connecting with them feel so much like talking to an old friend and it's a really great thing to have in your town

RUBY! She was in my first ever WW town, and then again in my NL town, but I didn't plan to bring her back for NH. Well, I ran into her on an island an couldn't just leave her there. And she's more charming than she's ever been, I love her to bits and has quickly become my absolute favorite peppy <3 This game has actually made me appreciate her more ^^

I connected EXRTEMELY well with my two starter villagers, Boot and Plucky. They were both Welcome Amiibo returning villagers, so I never really saw them before. I was indifferent with them at first, as I figured that I would just replace them later on, but they grew on very quickly. They might not be the most cute villagers out there, but knowing that they've been on my island from the start means a lot to me, even if I have to hear my brother joke about how ugly they are lol. (they aren't ugly btw, they are cute smh my head). But yeah, that's what I love about random villagers, as unlike villager you pick-and-choice, you have to work towards forming a bond overtime instead of just being interested in their appearance.

I connected very well with my gang from nl; O'Hare, Tom, Static, Marshal and Snake.
Actually most of my current villagers, because it includes Raymond, Sherb, Judy, and Lolly too. Tangy though? Not really ;P The rest I love very very much<3

I had Moe and Tom in New Leaf and absolutely loved them. When I heard that amiibo cards could be used in New Horizons I purchased their amiibo cards so I could have them on my island. Honestly, I was really loving most of my other villagers that I already had on my island and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to connect with them because they were different from the Tom and Moe I had in new leaf.

I scanned in Moe first and invited him to my island, I have absolutely loved having him on my island. He is one of my favorite villagers and he is so cute. I love seeing him run around my island. Later, I invited I moved Tom onto my island. Another success. I have really loved having both of them on my island. They get along well with my other villagers and even if they are different from how they were in New Leaf they still make me smile. They also make my island feel familiar. They are the only two I really planned on having on my island that I have in my new leaf town and I'm really glad I brought them in.

zucker! i’ve never had him before and was never crazy about him but i stumbled upon him during an island tour and invited him to sell him later.

but the little bugger grew on me. idk what it is but he’s such a cutie and he’s just so pure ;u;

When I first got Sherb I didn't know how much I was going to like him (unlike other villagers, I never had him before) and now I love him to pieces, I'm keeping this lovely goat until judgment day <3

Well, I bond way too easily with villagers in general. So now my dream town is just that, a dream.

I got pretty lucky with my first few mystery islands at the start of the game. I got Sherb and Merengue. They were cute, so I said yes. Then I ran across Sprinkle. I wasn't sure how I felt about her at this point, because originally I intended to have only rabbits on my island. I thought her design was nice, but I wasn't SUPER into her, you know? So I asked my mom if I should invite Sprinkle, and she said yes, so... I did.

Fast forward a few weeks and she's my bestie. I don't think I'll ever get rid of her. It'd probably make me cry, tbh. She kind of reminds me of my old best friend from HS, and now there's that element with my mom. In game, I love giving her fun clothes and watching her live her best life with them. Somehow, she just seems peppier than the other peppies to me! Maybe it's because of all the Naruto runs she does? She always wrote back the friendliest replies to my letters (at that point, I didn't have another peppy on my island, because I hadn't moved my Bunnie in yet). And at some point Friga moved in and now I have two penguins, and I love seeing them chat or just greet each other in the plaza. She is my everything tbh T.T
