How do you like the villager acquisition methods in this game so far? This is especially a question for those who also played New Leaf (or older games?), but people new to the series are also welcome to share their input.
No more are the days of New Leaf where we have to start our files with anxiety in our hearts wondering who moved into our town and where did they put a plot and what part of the town did they just ruin. (Or if you were very patient and particular, you'd create a 2nd character to scope out the situation and save on them if you liked it, or reset if you didn't).
While the mystery islands don't give us a 100% guarantee, we have a lot more control and freedom over who we invite to our towns, so I certainly think it's a huge positive step in the right direction
