Usb not recognized

my laptop keeps getting this message saying that my laptop dosent recognize the usb/my mouse
how do i fix this D:
it's been going on for 2 weeks and btw i have windows 7

how do i do that? btw it's not a wireless it's a usb cord mouse.

You could always reinstall the drivers for your mouse. Just look at what kind of mouse it is, and search for the drivers for it, and you should find them. If that doesn't work, then your mouse may just be going bad.

Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Administrative Tools > Device Manager > Mouse > right click to Uninstall drivers

Try running troubleshooter then. It should be in Control Panel as well.

Maybe try restarting your computer and clean the usb or it might be that some update is required since the usb's connected to other files that need an update, not sure can search the interent! x3
