I think Marshal is the ugliest villager. Why is he Rank 1 on the popularity list? Bleh. Filbert is clearly the superior squirrel villager.

I am so torn.....

Anyways,considering how much Marshal bashing I've seen over the past few years on these boards,I don't think that disliking him is exactly an unpopular opinion anymore.Personally,I don't really like any of the wolves.I don't hate 'em but I don't want one in my town.They're all kind of pointy with really big mouths and there's like 57 cranky wolves and 23 snooty wolves.If people like them so much why can't Nintendo give us wolves representing all the personality types?

Story driven towns personally annoy me. Like, ACNL is for making a pretty town, not telling a story about a girl who had a broken family and killed herself.

Yeah, I really wish there would be a uchi wolf or a lazy wolf. :/ I like the wolves but in the same time, it
kinda sucks when they have all almost the same personality. In that case I just hope that there will be
new wolf villagers with the missing personalities in a new AC main game.

i don't understand why people like the wolf villagers as much as they do, they are very bland or outright ugly for the most part (examples: whitney, chief, kyle, freya, lobo) and i'm a little upset that fang's eyes are weird tbh. fang, wolfgang and vivian are the only wolf villagers i like and even then i wouldn't have them in my town if i was given the choice.

i feel as though the anteater villagers are some of the most unique villagers in the games and should be more sought for, they are adorable. the same could be said for alligators, frogs, birds and elephants.

jambette and gigi are amazing villagers.


i think the tiger and lion villagers are terrible with the exception of bianca who resembles a snow leopard rather than a tiger...i think most people are neutral with them but they are definitely up there with the monkey, gorilla and bull villagers.

ostrich villagers are THE most unique villagers in the game, they really need more popularity. it's funny that they are called "ostrich villagers" because: cranston is an ibis, flora is a flamingo, blanche is a whooper swan, phoebe is a phoenix, sprocket is a robot ostrich, phil is a pheasant, gladys is a red crowned crane and julia is a peafowl (appearance of male peafowls despite being a female). sandy and queenie are the only true ostrich villagers despite being orange and purple respectively. i think we should get an ostrich villager which closely resembles their real life counterparts colour scheme.

i dont understand why the penguin villagers are unpopular when they are some of the cutest villagers in the games, they really need more love. look at how chubby they are!

i think most hacked towns are terrible because i always see pwps and plants in the rivers; that does not look appealing at all. buildings on the beach are also ugly. i haven't went to a hacked town without seeing either of these two things. the only thing that works in the water is the bamboo.

I don't understand why people like the squirrels, and dislike the far better designed wolves and kangaroo's.

I don't like towns with patterns like streets.
I'd prefer a natural town with a story to tell. ^_^

I think most natural towns are boring, especially those "I'm a lonely witch who lives in my tree cluttered forest (usually hacked) town.'
To be honest it was very interesting when only a few people was doing it, now everyone and their mom is doing it. (Probably the reason I don't like my other town Moonview a lot)
Also those natural (and ones with those 'ugly, artificial, not creative' paths) path way is very small, like how are you guys getting around the town..

I don't like the towns that have trees and pwps in the water.

I don't like how some people just throw random things on the floor in their house: Mushrooms, nuggets, lost items, those things you can get on Harvest Festival etc..

I don't like to have Francine and Chrissy (also Vich? and CeCe) in a town together, it's no difference when you don't have them together..you just don't have them together and there's like 3564 towns that do have them together.

I don't like cluttered or packed houses! It's worst when you have four human characters in your town! They will block you in dream towns!

I didn't even know the Bandage was overrated? It's like... my main staple for my Mayor in PixelsV2. I'm actually planning on bringing it back and everything for her spring look.

I personally love themed towns and really well thought out and put together towns. I also don't mind seeing others with tier villagers and the biggest one is I wish the dream suite would generate more fascinating towns to dream about

Natural paths aren't small.
I have them everywhere.
They are as wide as you make them.

I like them two spaces wide, and single spaces for things like the flower arch.

I like towns with a story behind them but not where you walk through and it tells a story. I mean, it always feels so constrained and uncomfortable to be forced along a path, especially in ACNL.

My story is partly based on Game of Thrones, and is an interesting one.

My girl alt runs a tavern, among other things, and is saving up to buy an army to win back the throne and Seven Kingdoms.

She has three dragons in her hidden dungeon/throne/plotting room.

I really don't care who or what anyone has in their towns, because it makes them happy and they are the ones who have to play in it every day. I think that's an unpopular opinion lol. Other than that, I think another unpopular opinion I have is I don't really care to collect all the badges. It seems to be a highly sought after goal to accomplish in this game and for some reason I just don't care to lol.

Not many people here like dog villagers, so I wouldn't call that an unpopular opinion.

I hate amiibo cards. Ruin the novelty of the game.

Acnl was meant to be made into whatever the player wishes! That is a fact, not an opinion. I get that you may not like certain stories, especially the sad or horror ones, but acnl is meant to be creative. Hence why dofferent kinds of pwps exist!

When people talk about a new animal crossing, what I see often is living with your villagers. I think that's dumb and mostly coming from the furry community which disturbs me a lot. Leave these animals alone. They've always lived alone, keep it that way.
