Today I seem to be the unluckiest person in AC: NL, so I'm curious, what are some unlucky things that have happened to you?

Earlier my circle stick broke again, which is fine - I knew I'd have to replace it anyway - it's been glued together twice now. What I didn't realize was that opening up my 3DS like that would reset the system's date, which I should've looked at as soon as I booted my DS again. Anyway, I hopped onto New Leaf and find out that the date's been reset to 1/1/2012, meaning I've got to TT all the way back to the present now. I figured ~5 days at a time wouldn't be too bad, but after my second 5-day hop, Fauna is gone. ;~; The only good thing is that I've caught some things for the museum I didn't have and maybe I've cycled enough to get Beau back, but man today was not my day at all.

It's actually better to TT 3 days at a time and every 3 days, check if anybody is moving. If somebody is, you may either deny them or let them move. My bad luck would be dealing with all the rain! Every time I have vacation, I usually go ahead and grow gold roses for that vacation. But there's always that continuous period of rain/snow that yields any gold rose production, it once snowed a whole week! Plus the rain is actually pretty glum weather in ACNL, I love to see the sun out in the summer.

I had Peanut in one town and cycled to get her out for almost 3 weeks, and she still didnt move while the other villagers came and went. I didn't understand why she wouldn't leave.

Yeah, I've decided a smaller skip is better (I've managed to cycle before with no issues), I'm just a bit anxious to get back to the present I think, but I know I'd screw it up terribly if I went in one jump. But apparently (since I'm sitting here googling things) if you deny someone you can make huge jumps with no issues? I wonder if that's true and something I could do.

Oof, that stinks! I haven't tried to grow gold roses yet myself, but having it rain/snow a lot certainly would be a setback. Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative for you soon.

I can assure you this is true!! Make sure as soon as you deny them moving, you save + quit and then tt to the current date. Your villagers will claim it's been awhile since they last saw you but no one will have moved out. :)

The only unlucky thing that I've had happen to me was when I was TTing day by day in my first town and I guess I neglected to talk to everyone and Marina ended up in boxes without any warning. ;u;

That's wonderful!! It's going to save me a lot of headache.

Oh no! I had that happen with Beau, and I've been trying to cycle him back since.

I had an unlucky day on my birthday last year. I kept tripping all over the place.

Aw, it's really annoying to trip I know (once I fell 4-5 times in one Main Street trip), but it's even worse if it's on your birthday. D:

I find tripping to be extremely annoying. It lasts like 3 seconds, but it's weird to see my character fall so many times in a very short timespan.

I took my very first streetpass balloon over to a friend's town to show it off, tripped in front of my friends and the balloon went sailing up, up and away. Karmic payback for being a showoff. Lesson learned: do NOT run with a balloon, just in case.
