Does anyone else get super intense when you dive for a big sea creature? I swear everytime I try and catch one its like watching as slow-motion car chase as I lean super close to my screen and press the a button like I'm on life support and its the only thing keeping me alive.

Not really... I am pretty good at knowing when and where to dive to have the best chance at catching whatever it is, so I don't stress over it that much. Sea creatures are not worth as much as fish or bugs anyway, so it's not like I feel like I let a lot of bells slip through my fingers if I fail.

I'm getting better at it. It helps to swim slightly ahead of your prey before committing to the dive. I just completed the pirate set this week and only one more sea critter to get.

Diving is not that easy for a beginner, it takes some practice to get the timing right and you will be doing better at it soon,
just keep trying and good luck!

Nah. Fishing's where it gets intense. I'm so fidgety that I'll press the button even if the fish doesn't go for the bobber.
I have to close my eyes, lean in real close, constantly focus myself on the sound of the water rather than the fish, and hold my patience until the fish goes for it.
Combine that with a malfunctioning A button (sometimes it barely works, sometimes it clicks twice in a single press) and things get absolutely miserable.

Also in regards to the A-button problem, sneaking with bug net is not pretty. Idk if I could hold it for 5 seconds, much less 10. Why I can't beetle-farm in shellnut.

THIS.......... im the same too lol

diving gets intenseee

I just HATE catching bugs, diving, and fishing for rare-hard-to-catch mothereffers. I rage every time I lose a big one...

Not really, no -- it doesn't take me a long time to catch one, and I just swim closer to them before I dive in, but I hate it when it takes to my character so long until they reach the shadow. I noticed that they move faster once your character is almost out of breath. Also really dislike how fish manage to escape below the red line that separates your town from, well, the sea.

I do what somebody else here mentioned which is to dive slightly ahead of the creature (and you sort of have to guess the direction they go cos they change sometimes) and then i'm already pretty close to them
Another thing i do is when pressing the A button, i try to not like let go of it so that it goes all the way up, press the A button in as little amount height that it requires so that you can fit more presses into any given time, then you'll be moving the fastest you can too if that makes sense lol

I usually try to get in position to chase the shadow away from the boundary or beach so that it can't get away. Really, diving is all about approaching it from a good angle and timing your dive right.
