Underrated and unpopular villager appreciation thread!

I wanna hear about villagers that rarely get the spotlight, if they get it at all. There are close to 400 villagers in New Horizons, but I'm only seeing the same few over and over again. This is for the ones that almost no one talks about!
So for me, I have a few of unpopular faves. My #2 underrated fav is Bella. A punk rock riot girl mouse is so awesome to me! The #1 unpopular fave of mine that everyone loves to hate on though is Rodney! He even has his own hate subreddit! But anyway, Rodney is great! He always gives the best gifts. I've been trying to get his pic, but no luck yet! I was fast forwarding about a month back because I was trying to move out a villager and landed on my birthday.

Its Rodney that throws me a birthday party! I'm so happy about that! Of course, I had to pass it and keep going because I want my real birthday to be special, but its so nice to see that he's actually the villager I'm best friends with!

Anyone else have any underrated favorites living on their island? Oh and sorry, no shade intended, but this is not a thread for popular villagers. So please don't come in here talking about how your poor Raymond/Marshal/Judy/Ankha etc. gets soo much hate. I have nothing against those villagers btw. They're cool too! But some players don't even know that a villager like Admiral exists, meanwhile everyone knows who Stitches or Lucky is.

I think a lot of mine are pretty popular, at least that is what I heard in a different thread that I posted in a month or so ago. I have Punchy, Kiki, Merry, Rosie, Roscoe, Sherb, Raymond, Dom (temporary) and cyd (extremely temporary), and Rudy.

I think mine would be Rudy, Kiki & Roscoe. I’ve been seeing Rudy and Kiki’s name come up more lately though (which is nice, since they both are so adorable ^,^).

an unpopular villager that i’m absolutely obsessed with is margie! despite being in the animal crossing movie, she doesn’t get much love at all, which is sad. she’s stunning and is such a sweetheart - i’m blessed to have her on my island c’:

I love Hazel, Grizzly, Aurora, Blaire, Rodney, Graham, and, Vladimir. I have neither of these adorable villagers in my Horizons town. I've seen them in others towns and campsites, except Vladimir. He is one of my favorites too. If anyone has him, I would love to visit your dream town and say hello.

My favourite villager is Peewee who I know is unpopular with a lot of people. He's just always been a favourite of mine, I've had him in past games and I just view him as like a gentle giant. Plus gorilla butts are cute.

I recently went on a bit of a quest to get him in time for his birthday (Sept. 11) which I did!
I knew I would probably have to look for him on mystery islands because most people would just void him and not even post for trading him. I got really quite lucky though and got him in around 80 tickets. I was prepared to spend a lot more.

I really wish they had not changed his house so much and his catchphrase from past games but Peewee is still an excellent villager and I'm really happy to have him.

Sterling is a favorite of mine because of NL. I also think that Deirdre is one of the best sisterly villagers out of all, only matched by burger sheep.

Candi is one of my temporary faves! It's going to be tough letting go of her. Maybe I would keep a bunch of my temporary faves if we got more slots! I would also probably include Maelle and Teddy in there. <3 I just happened to form connections with these ones as they passed through. And Teddy was one of my starters. Actually, now that I think about it, both Maelle and Candi stood out to me because they were favourites of a friend of mine, and I just happened to run into both of them in my campsite. It's fate!

I don't think Blaire is particularly popular, definetly not as popular as she deserves to be. I love her design, the snooty personality suits her and she looks so adorable when she is angry.

Kinda reminds me of my girffriend.

I think i saw them on a low tier somewhere but someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I really like chief and Julia. Chief likes to sing alot and looks really good in the musketeer stuff i gift him. Julia is cute exploring the island and has a really cool house split down the middle, left side bedroom, right side bathroom. Both are definitely on my permanent 10 villager list

I gush about my favorites so much, I’m not sure if they really are unpopular or underrated.

Bones, Kyle, Eugene, Felicity, Muffy, Katt (despite never having had her), Cherry, Tiffany, Olivia, and Cyd (haven’t had him either). I forget where Dobie falls in, but he’s also a honorable mention.

One’s that I discovered once they moved into my island and ended up loving are Tasha and Tipper.

Deirdre gets overlooked because of more popular deer like Fauna and Diana. I absolutely love her color palette and unique face markings.

Diva is probably my favorite Uchi. I love that her house theme is Egyptian to tie in with the Biblical plagues. I love her color pallet, I can understand why her having kind of a fake hairdo is a turnoff, but I view them as just an interesting happenstance of a weird pattern on a frog. I can understand where the Diva hate comes from, she looks weird and is one of the less popular personality types, but she's just cool and fun to me!
