Two villagers in a day?

I have a question,i currently have 8 villagers in my town and i found 2 of my dreamies from other people. What would happen if i took them both today? I don't time travel.

I think it would work, I did this before.
I wouldn't take anymore then 2 villigers in but after 3 days, the next one should move in.

No, it would unfortunately not work. The first one you invite will be cancelled out by the second one. So you would always only be able to get the last one you've invited in one day.

You could however invite the first one in, then time travel to when their house is plotted (the next day, usually) and then invite the second one in. But since you don't time-travel, I guess this is not an option.

Yes do not make the same mistake I did! You can unfortunately only invite one at a time.

I just made this mistake today I had 8 villagers and I TT'd a day after to start plot resetting and the second villager showed up at my town which means that the first villager I adopted got overwritten

you must adopt one per day, if not you lost the first one you adopt
