Trying to fund a new group: Non-TTers/Dupers

You may have seen my other thread about this in the Train Station board, but I've gotten a tip from Kippla (TTer group owner) that I should start a thread here, since it's generally more active.

Anyway, I'm trying to start up a group for non-TTers and non-Dupers. Before any sort of argument breaks out, I have nothing against people who play the game that way. I just think it's a good idea to keep together the people that like to play the game at a slower pace.
Well, my dilemma is that I don't really have enough bells to create the group. I'm not usually one to ask for donations, but in this case I kind of need the extra bells. If you support the idea of this group, then I'd really appreciate a donation. Even a small one helps. Thanks.

You don't need to make a group, you can just have a thread...Save your bells for something useful.

Me and Card want to have an alliance so we can stop fighting about TTing. There's a reason we have groups, oath2order. If we didn't it would be a mass jumble of group threads.

I guess I read it wrong or something, but Card said non-Dupers.
Even if Dupers were allowed, I believe the forum rules still apply within groups, so talk about duping would still not be allowed.

You don't need a mass jumble of threads, one thread can house all your conversations. I do agree, however, that a group would be much more organized so you could have different "threads" to discuss different things within the group instead of the forum. Nonetheless, sorry, but I just don't see the appeal in groups, so I am not donating.

Good luck getting the donations, though.

I would love to join your group. I find the really long threads to be tiresome, and the ability to chat with those of the same ideas as me sounds good. I will send you what I can, and I hope that we can get the same kind of support as the TTers.

I don't dislike time traveling at all, I just think it would be a good idea to keep track of people who have their towns in the current day/hour so that someone doesn't accidentally end up on Christmas day when they visit a town, or something.

To clear up some confusion, Card's group is in the same deal as my own. Card will make a group where non TTers can chat without TTers starting drana about whatever. My group is the same thing, except backwards. TTers chat without non TTers starting drama. I'm not trying to insult anyone, it's just a fact that TTing is a sore subject in TBT.

Good luck with getting donations! I hope that the TTC and your group (have you decided a name or an acronym yet?) will continue this friendship and goodwill towards each other and finally be able to bring peace to the much divided community of tbt. Perhaps when you start your group, the two groups could collaborate on a Friendship Week, where we could promote acceptance and goodwill towards tters and nontters alike. Together, we could end the animosity and hate!
