Trouble getting HHA Badges

I recently started focusing on badges I wouldn't normally go for such as the HHA badges. I already have the Bronze badge for 50,000 points and I initiated a theme challenge to get more points, in which I quickly jumped up to 400,000 points. It took a couple of days for Phineas to spawn due to poor weather conditions, but when he did spawn I was surprised he didn't give out my Silver and Gold HHA badges, instead some for diving and customizing furniture.

Now I am thinking about it I haven't received my Gold HHA trophy/golden house through the post. My HHA room score has jumped up to 675,000 now and I have received mail informing me of the Gold Roof and Exterior modifications I can make to it by talking to Lyle. Am I missing something crucial or has my game bugged out? Has anyone else had any trouble with this?

And it happened last year so I dont remember all the details - I have the gold house model, but I never got the badges and I eventually reset that town.

Obviously for both of us, something did not "ping" in the game for Phineus to arrive for you.

It does seem to be a common problem. I have had the same happen with my town and I know of other people on this site who also never received their gold house model. I ended up buying one but that doesn't help with getting the badge. I've had to totally ignore that badge now and focus on my last two. Although I've also had problems with getting badges before when Phineus didn't show up until way after I had actually earned the gold bell badge. He did show up in the end. Have you tried using the microphone just to double check he isn't hiding?
I can only think it's some kind of bug

Ahh thats frustrating news, I guess I will just wait it out and see if he eventually appears. I don't really want to reset because its the town i've been playing since launch. Thanks anyway pal and sorry to hear it didn't work for you.

I haven't tried that trick yet, I did however have an encounter with him to receive the diving and customization badges. Will give this a crack later, thanks for the advice!

I didn't get my house model either, until I quit the theme challenge- I got it right away after that

really? i've never really found it very hard. I just max out all my rooms, put together loads of sets and that it :/

It's a common problem, I fixed it by removing the theme from my house. I guess it's something that the developers overlooked

I don't think it's a glitch or whatever, it's just HHA points are separate from theme challenge. For "HHA challenge" your prizes are badges and trophies. For theme challenge your prizes are gold exterior pieces. It's two separate things.
So yeah, for HHA badges just remove the theme challenge.

Same thing happened to me. I just quit the challenge and the next day all the prizes were in the mail.
Got the badges.
