Trouble calling villagers' names with megaphone

Do you ever have trouble calling a particular villager's name? :3 Like not as in pronouncing it but whenever you say it someone else always answers...

Like whenever I try to call Ankha, Antonio answered. :c And whenever I try to call Zucker I get Caroline or Static. Sometimes even Fuchsia replying to me.

When I say Twiggy, I get Kapp'n.

Frita thinks her name is Tia, and Papi only answers about 50% of the time.

Your examples are really weird, most of those names don't sound anything alike

I tried calling for Flo and Goldie answered, lol. I can see why the game might be confused with that one. But calling Zucker and getting Static is weird. o_o

Yes, definitely. I've never been able to get Pate to respond. I've tried every variation that I can thing of. Hippeux's never answered either. :/

I don't really use the megaphone all that much in the first place, but I do have the occasional problem with it when I do. When I try calling for Pierce, Bruce answers, or vice versa, and sometimes Kapp'n answers when I call out for Ken.

I finally got jacques to respond to me, but only after saying his name "JOCK-WEZ" lol

I cannot for the life of me get Hans to respond even when I know he's around. Usually, Renee answers whenever I call for Hans.

Which I really don't understand because, I mean, you can only pronounce his name two ways. I naturally call him Hans with an "ah" sound. That doesn't work. I tried his name with a short 'a' (like in hand) and that didn't get a response either. I tried his Japanese name just for laughs and Benedict responded. If you can tell me how "Sunairu" results in "Benedict," I'd love to know.

Yeah... I have problems using the Megaphone, i'm from Scotland though so I am used to it, nothing understands our accents xD

Just today I spent about half an hour shouting on Hopper, only to get Muffy and Gladys both shouting 'I'm over here!' etc I don't even know how it thinks they all sound alike...seriously..

Just make sure that you heavily enunciate the words, don't roll over or lose any consonants.

About 90% of the time I'll call out for one of my villagers and Kapp'n will respond. I don't know if I have some sort of weird accent or the game is just that screwy sometimes.
