Trouble calling villagers' names with megaphone

Nothing understands my accent, this does better than expected as Bruce generally understands me. Anyone else is Kapp'n though, even Alli I get Kapp'n, it doesn't even have a p or n!

Another question though, how do you say Beardo? I say it beard-o but is it bear-doh?

Same here... I am German playing the English Version of the game and it looks like the game really hates my accent. I can call some of my Villagers like Portia, Hamlet, Rodney and Bob (duh xD) but I can't call Punchy (Punch-ai?) for the heck of it...

I tend to have to hold out the sounds to get people to answer appropriately. Like I say "Friiiiiiiitaaaa" or "Poppppppyyyyy" or "Joooooooannnnnnn".

This doesn't work for Ken though. No matter how I say Ken, I can never get him to respond. Ever.

It's a bit like handwriting recognition, only with voice. I always have trouble with the megaphone. I don't know how you're supposed to say their names, but it's the Apple Newton of 2013*.

*You may get this reference if you've watched a certain episode of The Simpsons.

In my Taiwanese-American linguistic experience; I think the megaphone was the hardest feature for the Localization teams. Therefore, it probably is doomed to be a bit buggy. Just try stressing different syllables and etc. I also advise not using it in public to avoid weird looks. hahaha!

I think I've been pretty lucky so far. - which is weird cause no one IRL ever understands my accent, but AC seems fine with it. xD
I had to call Mathilda, Maffilda to get her to respond, but I figured that out pretty quickly. And I've only tried Broccolo once and he didn't respond, but he is normally indoors and I don't talk to him much anyway.

It'd been cool if you when you were using the megaphone, you either have the option to speak into the microphone or press their name on screen, or even type in their name >_> I use the megaphone A LOT in trying to TT someone out, but it's just so unreliable :/
