transitioning your town when the seasons change?

I'm currently setting up a harvest festival area for fall. It's got games and stalls with pinwheels and bubble blowers and I've got haybeds and mush items and soon it'll have Halloween items... it's going to be awesome! I even moved Pietro in so I could have a clown And, of course, I cleared out a good amount of space today where my pumpkin patches will go

Then, come winter, I'll probably take it down and replace it with a festive winter festival area ☺ I'm actually really excited to think of how I'll change things around for different seasons, and just change things around in general. Everyone seems to be talking about "finishing" their islands, but that's not what I'm trying to do at all. I want to keep changing my island around- it makes it more fun for me!

I don’t have anything major but I will be redecorating some areas from summery to more fall/wintery! However with the new Halloween update, I might change some areas to look more spooky and make more space for pumpkin farming

I thought I would make some seasonal changes around my island and have even gone so far to plan out exactly what I would change. However, I haven't acted on these ideas. I've had a lot of villagers come and go recently, so after changing out items in their yards, I haven't really had the energy to think about the other sections of the island.

Not so much transitioning, but as I play as a non-TTer and more seasonal furniture becomes unlocked I can continue completing my island's year-round look

i don’t plan on changing my whole island but i have reserved the front of rs for seasonal decorations

Yeah I’ll probably change a few things for autumn. I’ve already replaced a couple bushes with tea olive bushes and I’m definitely decorating my island for Halloween with the new items coming with the update. At the end of autumn I’ll be doing a big island revamp for winter-spring as well, since I’m bored with my current layout.

Can’t wait for the update to get some new items. Have a few empty spaces which I am planning on decorating with mush stuff when I get it. Gathering acorns and pine cones atm so will go crazy with leaf piles etc

Usually I don't change up the look of my island when the seasons change but for Halloween I am defiantly making room/cleaning up my island for all the Halloween décor.

I might change little stuff as the seasons come but my island was always meant for fall. I've been waiting on mush and halloween furniture for a long time.

I do have some summery/beachy stuff though, and since we're on an island I feel like it won't ever look out of place.

I’m slowly transforming my island for fall, in much the same way I do in my own home. Right now I’ve got an apple picking area and selling cider, pumpkin patch. I’ve been slowly, over the last week or so removing the colorful summertime flowers, and replacing with black lilies. I am slowly starting to bring in leaves on the ground, which will get thicker over time. I’ll be doing much more after the fall update. Can’t wait. My DA is in my signature if you want to visit.

The idea sounds good on paper. But the execution itself is quite terrifying. I can imagine the amount of work you need to put in for redesigning the entire island to fit a specific season.

I rest my case. I will only make a few minor tweaks such as redesigning my entrance. But nothing really major like overhauling the entire island.

not at all, i feel like that would be a serious time sink that i just don't have the patience/time to do... that being said though, i do keep rewinding my time back to may to forever live in autumn, it suits my island best
