So this is my town map:

So do you see the town hall and the beach slope. It is really close only a few species between the two

What is good about this part and what is good about this map all together. I need some pick up for this map I like it but need advice

This is a nice layout but, if it was me, I wouldn't choose it because it has 5 ponds. These will be a real pitta when you are trying to build PWPs.

It's nice placing accept from that darn pond that is always infront of the train station

I actually like all the cute ponds but all the important stuff is in the bottom part of the map and retail isn't close to the beach.

I think it's a cute map but I personally wouldn't pick it because of the lack of access to the west beach and town hall's placement. Either way, do what feels right to you! :)

Layout Advice:

1.) Make sure you like the native fruit
2.) See the grass pattern (I dont really care about this too much)
3.) Look around town and see how many rocks there are/ponds and decide if that will cause a problem later on with patterns/PWPs/and hybrids
4.) See who your starting villagers are
5.) Look to see where the re-tail is placed. Is it close enough to the dock (for beetle farming)? Is it convenient to your usage of it?
6.) Is the Plaza in an ideal place? Mines in the middle of my map and that why I like it, because the river hugs its sides then I have the bridges all in line /symmetric.
7.) Town Hall. Is it near any other landmarks? If so, will that be an issue for landscaping or can you pull it off?
8.) Think of where you would put larger PWPs like the Cafe, do you have an ideal spot for it?
9.) Make sure to get all your dreamies moved into good spots before landscaping too much or placing down a lot of PWP's

I think that having so many ponds will be problematic with designing. I also like having retail closer to the dock, it's especially helpful when your town is new and you're selling all those beetles! Having good spots for those permanent PWPs is key to easy navigation in a town.

I've got five ponds in my town, and I went through a bit of a phase where I was seriously regretting picking this map because of that. When you've got five ponds you've got far less space for PWPs, and if you plot reset you'll have limited options for where to put the houses. I was actually seriously considering starting a new map, but I decided not to because of how far I'd already come in the game and the great villagers I had in my town, and I'm glad I didn't, because now I just work around the ponds and I'm fine with my map. However, you may not come to peace with it the way I did. I love my town map, but I would strongly suggest not picking a map with five ponds, because it can become very inconvenient when it comes to designing.

Still, most of your ponds look rather small (unlike mine, as I've got three really big ponds) and they don't look too spread out (unlike mine), but if you're picking this map just keep this in mind.

EDIT: Whoops, I didn't see the date you posted this, I just saw that someone I knew was in this thread and clicked on it.

i would probably put trees or something in front if the town hall and then i would have a path from the ramp. don't think you can fit any pwps that will look good there so yyeah ;W;

that's a lot of ponds tho.

In my personal opinion retail is kinda far from the beach and I've never seen that many ponds in a town before. Unless you like ponds, keep it but it takes up too much space if you plan to design in the future. However I really like the top portion of the map as there's a lot of free space for pwps and what not.

thats a **** ton of ponds that sucks otherwise its great

also the slope kinda annoys me, its aligned n' all but theres that giant gap...
