Too many smugs.. Who should go? [Solved]

I've got 3 smugs in my town rn and honestly I'm getting tired of it, I want all the personalities and having 3 smugs is stopping me from it, not to mention its getting annoying. I'm gonna get rid of Genji and Punchy but I don't have another to get rid of for space for another personality. So ones gotta go. If im being honest I'm way more attached to O'Hare and Marshal then Raymond but I spent literal hours trying to get Raymond.
O'Hare and Marshal have some sentimental value but Raymond had all that time invested. Obviously if I choose Raymond I could just sell him, but I might regret it. This is such a dilemma, please help!

I had to vote Raymond. O’Hare is most unique. I have Marshal in New Leaf and actually like him. I have Raymond now and I like him, but not like Marshal yet.

I went with Raymond both because I like Marshal and O’Hare better personally and because you’re way more attached to them. I know you say you spent a lot of time trying to get him, but I feel like you’d miss him less than the other 2.

Unfortunately, I'll have to vote Raymond. Not the biggest fan of him personally, but even then he has such a high retrade value and you already have sentimental attachment to the other two. If you find yourself attached to unique villagers like O'Hare especially I'd take that and run. I love the feeling of genuinely liking less popular villagers. It really helps with the immersion of it all when you don't see them in every other island (too bad I'm boring and chose popular ones for most of my dream team )

Definitely follow your heart. I understand the anxiety of not wanting to let go of Raymond because you spent so long to get him and unlike the others, he has no amiibo so if you change your mind later, you may not be able to get him back. But just because he’s shiny and new and popular/valuable is really no reason to keep him over villagers you love and have sentimental attachments too.

however I voted Marshal in the poll bc I personally hate him lol. If it was my island he’d be out so fast. but that’s just me.

On another note, I got O’Hare as a random move in on a plot I was going to fill with Static. my plan was to boot him immediately to make room for Static but I felt really really bad doing it. In just a few hours that aloha bunny grew on me. He’s such a sweetie.

I picked Marshal cause he's much easier to get than Raymond rn. I understand that you're attached to Marshal but you can't get attached to Raymond if you don't give him more time. I personally wouldn't kick Raymond out until he has an amiibo card, just to be safe.

Funny enough, I actually had the exact same dilemma but with Julian instead of O'Hare. 3 smugs was 1 too many and I asked on the forum as well. I let Raymond go because I had the least connection with him and I voted for Raymond on your poll as well. Sometimes there's a bit of "regret" because of how much of a novelty Raymond is, but I think if you look deeply at who you want, you don't have to keep someone just because you spent a lot of time for them if they don't fit your island
