Too many smugs.. Who should go? [Solved]

Funny enough, I actually had the exact same dilemma but with Julian instead of O'Hare. 3 smugs was 1 too many and I asked on the forum as well. I let Raymond go because I had the least connection with him and I voted for Raymond on your poll as well. Sometimes there's a bit of "regret" because of how much of a novelty Raymond is, but I think if you look deeply at who you want, you don't have to keep someone just because you spent a lot of time for them if they don't fit your island

and yeah, I agree, there is so much hype surrounding Raymond that it’s easy to get caught up in. But if he doesn’t fit, he doesn’t fit.

Yup! I think there's such a huge halo effect around Raymond that really numbs decision making. Raymond is cute, no doubt about it. But sometimes realizing after the chase when you have them, they don't fit and it sticks out like a sore thumb, regardless of who they are!

Also, yes Julian is amazing!

this is really tough, but I think I marginally prefer raymond over marshal. I guess just because he's a fresh new face. it is a shame you can't keep both though because raymond and marshal go together extremely well.
I think keeping all 3 could definitely be something to consider, since I certainly won't be able to convince you to lose o'hare lmao

moon_child has a good point in saying you'd make mahoosive mulah selling him though. that could also be something to consider lol (marshal's worth a pretty penny too)

If you don't care for Raymond at all then go with him as you can trade him for something decent easily.
If you're having second thoughts, keep him, as he doesn't have an amiibo card yet so it might be difficult to get him again should you change your mind.

You should keep the ones you're the most attached to and while you've probably spent a lot of time trying to find Raymond, other people will do pretty much anything to get him which means you could get something good (NMT, items, money, souls) out of giving him a new home.

Since you're more attached to O'Hare and Marshal then I vote for Raymond, plus you'll be earning a lot if you auction him off so that's a great bonus
