Today I Learned: New Horizons Edition

I think I learned that for Happy Home Paradise I would have to first buy the software, which I'd like to do, but then pay a subscription on top of that for the privilege of using it? Is this correct?
No it's just a DLC you buy once. If you enjoy decorating I'd recommend it because it adds lots of fun stuff to your game.

Thank you, I'm glad to know that. I was more intrigued by the added content than the decorating but decorating gives my brain a bit of a workout as it's sometimes like solving puzzles.

HHP is mainly about meeting lots of different villagers and designing houses for them, and adds more furniture and decorating options. Also can use it to earn a few extra bells.

When I wasn't paying close enough attention and equipped my slingshot rather than the fishing rod I discovered firing it will scare the fish away.
 
Hopkins, a little blue bunny I had not realized even existed before he showed up at my hotel is a blow-up toy! The air nozzle is on the back of his head right near the top.
