Today I found out that I am a synesthete.

This is going to sound way *censored.3.0*ing weird and not make any sense to a lot of you, so first, go here for a definition of what I found out is up with me.

Anyway, when I think of a day of the week, or a month of the year, I personify it. For example, to me, April is a loud, obnoxious (but secretly unsure of herself) girl. Most of the months are girls. Wednesday is a kind of dull thing. It's so hard for me to describe. Monday is a girl too. Like it says in the article, August is like a tomboy to me. It's not that I picture a tomboy, it just feels like that to me.

I just asked my mother one day if she ever personified the months, and she thought I was crazy. Kind of unimportant, but weird, I guess.

Oh, the rest of the story; asked my dad (a doctor), took some tests, and bam.

That's actually sounds pretty cool! If you're going to have something in your brain work a little differently, that doesn't sound too bad. :o

It doesn't really affect me positively or negatively, it's just like automatic. It's weird.

So that's what it's called. I do that too. It seems weird to people. So, to me, you sound normal.

If any of you think that you are, (about 1 in every 23 people are), it's pretty easy to test yourself, just look online. I went into the clinic for some simple tests I could've done on my own.

Ah yes, but you're not one of the cool types, like the ones that see colors when they hear sounds, or the ones that taste things when they read certain words.

We need more psychology topics.

Man, I read all about the other types today, (and they gave me a pamphlet about it), but I so wish I was.

I've heard quite a few stories about unfortunate consequences of sense to sense synesthesia, though. Like the guy who tasted something bad when he heard his girlfriend's name.

Hah! Yeah, as far as usefulness and creativity goes, mine is pretty useless.

I do that with colors. :)
Well, that's sort of culturally-influenced, too. Most primary colors are associated with some sort of emotion or trait, blue is sad, red is angry, etc. It's different for every culture, too. White is associated with purity in Western culture, but in some Asian ones it represents death.

I'd bang August, though.
This is going to sound stupid, but she's a redhead, with wavy hair.
Freckles?
Yeah, but not too much. I always picture August in denim overalls too, dirt on the face, oddly enough. Haha, it's hard for me to describe and weird for me to say.
What about April, May, and June? What's are those ladies like?
