I had someone come pick Rosie up (she was in boxes), and I was hoping that I wouldn't get a voided villager. -.- Well, she mentioned Tangy had recently moved out, and I thought 'oh, I already had Tangy not that long ago, so I won't get her'.
Well, guess who's moving in. -.- So, any tips on getting a tenth villager out ASAP?

Oh my, how terrible! Sorry. :(

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 10th villager notoriously difficult to move out? I have a vague recollection of someone saying the 10th villager is actually impossible to move out, you actually have to move out another villager before the 10th villager will move.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be a downer, really I'm not. I hope someone who is more knowledgeable jumps in to clarify, but I do remember having the exact same problem and could not move that 10th villager... I posted here, and someone told me this, and then I had to move out another villager before I can get the 10th guy to move.

(Why the 10th villager won't move is the thing that stumps me, I use to know the answer at one point, but just can't remember right now.)

Come on, TBT, someone who knows better than me jump in and help!

You should be able to love the tenth villager out but someone else must ping to move and then be denied befoe they will ping to move. Best of luck!

I'm sorry, but from all my time cycling in my main town and my cycle town, I have never been able to move a 10th villager out without moving somebody else out first :(
I've heard rumours of people being able to do it but i haven't seen proof of it, and like I say, I've cycled a load of villagers. In my main town alone I've done over 30. I could never get the newest villager out :(

I mean, you could try the cycle method of 4 days forward and back. It's very effective, you could probably get your whole town to ping you within the space of an hour using this method, as long as you're at 10 villagers.
But like the other day, I wanted Wolfgang to move to my second town (he was m newest villager) and I cycled for about 2 hours and got pings off everybody several times - but never him. Then as soon as I let Molly go he pinged to move
:(
Also - somebody else pinging first and being refused doesnt make any difference. It's just for some silly reason the newest villager sets up a permanent residency :(

Well, Tangy moved out exactly after 3 other movers (Cheri, whom I cycled to get back, Pango, Bones, and then Tangy herself), and I'm almost 100% sure that I've only moved out two movers since completing the cycle: Lucy the pig and Rosie. So, that would put Tangy one away from being out of the cycle... Idk, it's really odd.

I've seen people say this, but I'm going to try anyway. I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!!!

The 10th villager can, and will move out if you completely ignore them and talk to all your other villagers. Don't introduce yourself to Tangy when she moves in, and don't talk to her, even when she pings you. Ignoring her ping is the best way to ensure she actually moves, and doesn't change her mind. You can find out who is thinking about moving by talking to all your other villagers.

But seriously. Don't talk to Tangy at all, and she'll move. When I was testing this, I had three 10th villagers in a row move in, then right back out. And, of course, time traveling speeds up this process. I recommend traveling forward one day at a time and talking to your other villagers at least twice. You can spam chat one villager, if you want, and usually they'll tell you who's thinking of moving.

I have tried pretty much every single method for moving a 10th villager and it's never worked. Do let us know if you manage it though! I would be interested to hear about it and good luck!! :) i hope you succeed :)

I was wondering if perhaps it makes a difference where a villager comes from. Whether a campsite/void/streetpass/other town.
Will have to try that out a bit more

Oh no, I didn't know this was a thing! I've been hoping Kevin would move because his house is in a really awkward place (right next to the ramp down to the dock) and I've already got another Jock. I've had about 3-4 other villagers ask to leave in the meantime but I've said no to all of them, hoping he'd leave instead. :/ I guess the next one I can bear to part with, I'll have to let them leave first, if I ever want Maple or Bluebear.

How annoying! The others are all in much better places for me.
