Tips for catching/finding a Saddled Bichir?

Hey guys! I normally stop playing by 9pm at the latest, but I'm going to be spending an extra 45 minutes or so per night trying to catch a Saddled Bichir since it will be gone after March in the Northern Hemisphere. Any tips? I'm going to be trying to get as much bait as I can before tonight, then just ignore all the fish that aren't Black Bass sized. Any tips? Thanks!

You can't get that fish in March in the Northern Hemisphere. You'll need to wait for Summer.

It'll be gone after March in the Southern Hemisphere! I believe the fish doesn't appear for us until June or July (summertimeish).
