Hello, I have an issue. Time travelling is getting really tempting for getting more progress on main street and house progress. Been trying to not do it but well temptation is on the rise. Need guidance >.<

Yes i did to catch up my new town to present day (starting day wad november 1st because i needed to cycle my dreamies back in from their holders). Now that i'm caught up, i'm going to play in real time without time traveling unless it's necessary

Poll is interesting with how many people seem to do it. Did it a lot on wild world but been playing this one without it but the amount of time based things like nooklings upgrade, museum second floor and such that I have all the requirements but time makes it so so tempting. What are the effects of say going forwards a few days (1 at a time) then going back to the real date and playing normally again?

When I first re-created my town, I time traveled to obtain items I didn't think I'd be able to acquire normally - without worry because I didn't have any dream villagers starting out. After that, I really haven't TT'd at all. I don't mind those that do though. Everyone has their own game copy, and should be able to play whatever way makes them happy.

For me, waking up and checking on my town daily is teaching me patience.
And I actually enjoy watching my little home grow day-by-day. (?▽`ʃƪ)♡

i time travel as i have school almost everyday and hardly get a chance to play acnl often which means if i didn't time travel i'd be playing acnl in game time once or twice a month
time travelling allows me to go by each day and not have to worry about missing any because of school etc.

i understand why some people wouldn't want to time travel and that's okay uvu

i used to TT like everyday and even multiple times per day but lately i havent been, i still do sometimes as im slowly catching back up to the real date lol :p

For almost my entire time playing acnl my town has been several months behind and I'm just constantly trying to catch up to normal time but I just don't have time to play everyday. So I go on TT purges to catch up. TTing is honestly not a huge deal. If you want to do it, do it. No ones going to arrest you for it ;)

I TT all the time. It's just my playing style, I guess. Nothing wrong with it! Just gotta be careful if you have villagers you don't want to lose.

All the time, because I don't play this game that often and I'm afraid that 8 of my fantastic villagers are going to move out of my town without warning.

I lost Bluebear because of that. ; ^ ;

I TT very occasionally in Cinnabar, usually only to get a moving villager into boxes quicker so they can be adopted. Other than that, I don't have any reason to seeing as my town is complete, I'm just working on my gold badges now and taking it easy.
In my One Year Challenge town I don't TT at all (as per the rules, lol). I don't miss it either, it's a relief not to try to rush everything like I've done in the past.
I have no problem with TTing at all, whether it's my game or people doing it in their own towns. I believe that if I've paid for a game, then I'll play it any way I darn well like! It's my business what I do with my things, and if it adds enjoyment to my gaming experience, then I'll do it! But, I also understand why some players choose not to TT and take every day as it comes, that's another great way to enjoy the game and I'm having fun doing that myself in my new town. What I don't agree with is people who get on their high horses about it and look down on the way other people play.

I have the same problem! Without TTing I wouldn't be able to play the game.

In my opinion, Time Traveling ruins the quality of the game. I want to enjoy my town and take it step by step. But that's just me.

Tried time traveling making sure to speak to my favourite villagers everyday and such however one appeared in boxes suddenly when I went back to normal date. Had to be one of my favourites not one of the ones I ignored :(

I only usually TT back a few hours so retail is opened again. (I tend to play late at night so yeah haha) Apart from that I hardly every time travel. When I went on holiday this year I made sure to record the date I last played so I could go back and then I ended up TTing through days after days to catch up without losing any dreamies (I had a full town). Oh and when I did the 16 villager cycle I obviously did or else it would've taking me forever hehe.

i time travel a lot because i cycle villagers
but on my main town where i have all my dreamies...i don't dare time travel...i don't want to lose any of my dreamies lol

Now that my town has settled down, i only TT back a few hours if i need to go to a shop that closed. I play late at night sometimes and it's really inconvenient. I don't want the night owl town though, i prefer my beautiful town because i have a ton of flowers that i'm just starting to organize so i'd rather not have to worry about them.

I don't know how to vote. I don't exactly time travel, but I play ahead a few weeks. However, I never go back in time. I don't care what other people do. I've always felt that it's my game and I'll play however I want.
