I want to hear from someone who has tried what I'm asking

If I TT back to my birthday, and select 'keep it private' for the birthday wish, then TT forward to the correct date, will they stop asking about my birthday wish?

i don't think you'd be able to do that if you already celebrated your birthday on that day, and your wish was already made

And if I waited until next birthday and selected to keep it private, they would talk about the current one instead
I got rid of half my villagers but the new ones already know about it

If I TT back, then it doesn't exist.

Not sure but I heard that if you TT back to your birthday and you already celebrated it there will be no party the second time around

I think if you time travelled back said keep it private, and then forward again it should theoretically
stop it? Because every time you open up your town it saves and should override what you've previously done. But since it's already been done once, and it's been a while since your birthday and it's spread among the villagers I don't know if you can override that. I guess it's worth a shot though?

I'm tempted, as they continually ask about it. New villagers automatically know.

Even if I swapped out all ten... the new ones would know

I've had Isabelle stop all of them from showing me my own letters, and apart from the constant asking for fruit, the birthday is my only other really annoying problem.

I don't think it works that way. If the game was saved after you told them your wish, then when you TT back to your birthday, it will be as if you just saved it and went right back to it.

I know how annoying it can be. I remember telling someone my birthday wish and I regretted it because they constantly brought it up. I was glad next year when I decided to keep it a secret.

That's also what I want to know. If I put up with it until my next birthday, and keep that one a secret, won't they just revert back to the previous wish?
I can't imagine them letting it rest
