Time Capsule?

I have a question about the time capsules. A few days ago, Bertha gave me a time capsule and asked me to bury it for her. I forgot to do it then and only got around to it yesterday. I haven't opened it at all, yet it's impossible for me to bury it! And it's not just me forgetting to hold on to the shovel, either. I dig a hole and get as close as possible while still holding the shovel, yet the only options I get when selecting the time capsule are "Read" and "Quit". What could be the problem? I don't remember if Bertha set a time limit for me or not, so could that be it, since I lagged behind for quite a few days? She never mentions the capsule when I talk to her.

i dont know what the deal is with that
but i would imagine you would keep it in your mail slot until she finally asks for it??

That's one option... Although... If you open the capsule, it can be given back to her. She'll be upset about that, but at least it'll be out of your mail slot and you won't have to wait till up to a month for her to ask for it back.

I guess I'm just going to go ahead and open it to free up a space since I can't do anything else about it. Thanks for the responses!
