Thoughts on peppy villagers...?

I'm deciding on the dreamies for my island, and I want to have at least one of every personality type. For most types, the hard part is narrowing it down to one (or two for a couple of lucky types). But I'm really having a hard time with deciding on my peppy villagers!

I don't know why, but I feel like this personality type has always rubbed me the wrong way. So, I was hoping people could tell me some of their favorite peppy villagers and maybe why they're important to you, to help me get over my peppy prejudice!

Peppies are amazing. If I could sustain more than the two I have, I would. Don't know what the hangup is, but I love their enthusiasm and perspective

Two of my favorite peppies are Tutu and Tangy.I like that Tutu is a species that in real life is considered to be dangerous to humans but in Animal Crossing she's just a big,happy bear with delusions of being a pop star.To me Tangy has always seemed a bit peppier than the other peppies.I think her fruity appearance and bright color makes her seem more energetic and lively.

I really hate the direction they went with peppies for NH. The pop star persona gets old quickly for me. At least there's some peppies that have a more toned down version of the personality like Chrissy, imo.

i'm not keen on peppies, honestly, so design definitely plays a factor for me. my three favorites are probably dotty, pompom and ketchup. the first two are generally overlooked as villagers as far as i've seen but i had them both in my WW town where we were all the best of friends so i can't help having a soft spot for them. ketchup is in my NH town and i just love her design; she's the only tomato i'll tolerate and her personality is actually adorable more often than it is grating. i don't care for maglevs in love but her face when she goes "see? totes quiet" has my heart.

I love peppies, though I admit that I feel like I’m not clicking with them as much in NH as I had in NL.

My favorites in NL were Puddles, Merry & Rosie. In New Horizons, I’ve had Bluebear, Sprinkles & Merry and also Rosie. I no longer have Bluebear and Sprinkles; I liked Bluebear & Sprinkles design but didn’t click and got tired of peppy talk very fast since I had those two plus Merry at the time.

My first peppy was Apple, it was fine for a while, but as my island started to fill out (she was villager 4 I think) I ended up letting her move out. Through some silly activities with someone who was wanting to make room on her island for a dreamie, I ended up getting Audie, who I still have. For some reason I feel it works with her better than Apple. My only complaint with her is I think her "voice" should be a bit lower tone.

I kind of had the same thing with cranky villagers. Elvis moved to my island, and we had a bad start, seemed like he was just there to tick me off. Eventually we started to work things out but I wasn't sad when he decided to move away. I found Wolfgang on a nook miles ticket, and he's been great.

I expected to dislike the peppies, but have instead come to really love them. As you increase your friendship the pop star talk is really not a major part of their dialogue imo except as one of their intro lines. I have come to really really love Bangle, who I found on a mystery island as my original peppy - she just seems so friendly and she’s always out and about and doing such a range of activities. I love tabby too, she’s amazing (she will definitely be famous one day). In terms of design I think there is so much range, and sometimes the different look makes you respond/ connect to the personality differently.

if you have not liked the more standard peppy faves, maybe someone like pate would appeal to you? Cute little awkward looking duck with big dreams? Piper has a very appealing design as well, pretty simple and clean. If there are species or hobbies you favor that might help as a sort of ‘way in’ to liking a peppy villager

I personally tend to like the ‘loveable cute weirdo’ look, so Apple, Bubbles, and freckles also really appeal to me.

Ruby’s much more popular and common but she’s amazing and adorable. With her big red eyes. Dotty is also pretty popular and actually great, her eyes turn red when she is excited.

the number one thing that wins me over to peppies is how excited and cheerful they are. there is a peppy - peppy convo I love which is that they compare all these phases they’ve gone through and talk about how they are just always chasing a new dream with all their heart...and I just love that and find it utterly charming. And that’s the personality to me.

It is funny, I find the peppies so entertaining and fun that I am not bothered by having three at once (talking to all of them multiple times a day) but I’m not sure if I can have even one cranky without feeling bored. Sometimes a personality maybe just doesn’t click for you. And that is okay too.

Reading this makes me feel better since I was trying real hard to not accept that I’m just not clicking with them as much as I used to. Of course, I’ll still invite some more just for fun (in spite of what i said) as I cycle through them lol. I feel the same way about other personalities. I think I might be better off with three of another personality and not get tired of the repetitive dialogue as much or at all.

I’m glad to hear that you’ve grown to like the peppies ^.^. Your reasons for liking them are great too . I think that’s what I like about them too, though I guess I have a limit lol.

Pinky is my favorite peppy villager. She lived in my old New Leaf town and along with Flip stayed the longest out of anyone there. Just having a villager who would constantly stay even as your other favorites move out can make you really attached to them. She was also in my City Folk town for a short time before then. Since she's been with me for so long in older games I plan on inviting her onto my island once I'm able to find her.

As for her design, I would definitely recommend her. What's not to like about a pink panda villager?

I like the peppies because of how enthusiastically affectionate they are once they become better friends with you.

Peppies are always just so darn happy to see you, it makes me happy to see them, too.

I love the peppies <3 I think of them as like, hype girls. They're super sweet and supportive of you.

Bunnie is my favorite one. I had her in WW and then sought her out in NL and then again in NH. But I also have had Piper and also have Chrissy. I think the peppies have great cute designs. There are so many more that I would love to have like Apple, Ruby, and Dotty. They're one of my favorite personalities.

I find the villagers p boring in acnh but I always love talking to peppy villagers!

Peppy is my favorite female personality type! I have Audie and Freckles since it’s the female personality I decided to double up on!

Peppy villagers did not endear themselves to me when I played Wild World and New Leaf. For some reason though, in New Horizons, I've warmed up to them.

I have Tangy and Tutu right now.

I invited Tangy from a mystery island because I like her design. But she's a peppy, so I was a little concerned that I would not like her. (I had Rosie before Tangy. But Rosie just didn't grow on me so I let her go.) As time went by, I simply became very fond of Tangy. She looks the part of a peppy, if that makes any sense. Her design is very attractive to me, her home is cool, and she has very lovable facial expressions. I felt like, on my island, if anyone was going to be a star, it'd be Tangy.

Tutu turned up at my campsite one day. I was hesitant because, as much as I've warmed up to Tangy, I felt I didn't need another peppy. The reason I invited Tutu to stay was because she's a polar bear! I've never had a polar bear in a AC game. It's been 3 weeks. Tutu has a different hobby from Tangy, so I don't feel like they're peppy twins. I think I'm fond of Tutu as well. For me, Tutu comes across as more sweet-optimistic than peppy. Tangy is still the star.

peppies are alright imo! they’re not my favourite and their dialogue can definitely get annoying after a while but they’re not terrible aha c’:

my absolute favourite peppies are tangy, audie and sprinkle - tangy was the first ever villager that i met on my first save file for wild world so she’s my favourite for nostalgic reasons. audie is my absolute favourite out of all the new villagers + i love her sentimental value (she was apparently named after the grandma who logged in a bunch of new leaf hours aha) and plus,, she’s gorgeous. sprinkle i mainly like because of how adorable she is and plus,, she’s a lil chubby penguin,, you can’t go wrong with her

some honourable mentions are merry, ketchup, felicity and pate but there’s a bunch of good villagers to choose from so you really can’t go wrong with any of them c’:

peppies are easily one of my least favourite personalities. they have some of the cutest villagers such as tangy, audie, apple and rosie but the dialogue is horrible in my opinion aha, the popstar talk aged very quickly. i currently have two but i'm looking to get rid of flora. if i was to run into a peppy villager i liked i wouldn't be opposed to taking it but i think i can only endure up to two at a time.

I used to have 3 in my island but end up getting tired of the same dialogue. Now I only have Audie which is my favorite villager. I feel like having one is sustain the feeling of overwhelming from the same dialogue. This is my opinion for all personality though. I do not dislike peppies or any of the villagers in specifically.

Peppies are not my favourite personalities, but they are cute! I love Rosie and Audie. I have Audie on my island at the moment, and I love how happy and over the top she is all the time.

I've noticed that I can't have more than one peppy on my island at a time though, because it gets to be a little much.
The thing that draws me the most to the peppy villagers, is that most of them have really cute character designs. I have noticed that a lot of my favourite villagers fall into the peppy personality xD

I’m managing two peppy villagers currently but I couldn’t cope with more! I have Audie and Ketchup and they are both very sweet if I block out the pop star and train talk!
