Hello! This is a thread to discuss all those little details from our childhood's Nintendo games we didn't pay much attention to when we were children, but we've realised now as (more or less) grown-ups. Any Nintendo franchises are welcome, of course!

I'll start posting mine, which is about Super Mario 64 (the DS version). Anyway, it's the exact same in the original version so... :P

You know that room in King Boo's mansion where there's a bunch of coffins that will eventually rise up and then fall down to try to trap you beneath them? I used to think that the coffins were beds, and that they were posessed by ghosts (just like most of the stuff in the dungeon), and that was why they were trying to kill you. Wrong thought, lil' me: They were coffins trying to bury Mario (or any of his friends) alive. *shivers*

I think Princess Peach's castle from the same game is supposed to be shaped like a Nintendo 64.

Shiver Star looks like Earth.

Might be Earth in a bad future, or a planet that looks like Earth purely by coincidence...

I called the blue spikey shells in MKDD "flying hats" when I was younger, and tbh it's a pretty bad habit for me to break lol

Kirby eats a lot of things and sucks in a lot of things, but never has to use the bathroom....

I never beat the copy of The Legendary Starfy I got for my 13th birthday.

It involves 3 VERY special characters, all of whom represent a certain part of a common theme.

This part of this LP of the game is what made me realize what they were themed after.

Probably my favorite childhood game and the reason I love Yoshi so much and main him in Smash, enter Yoshi's Story.
I LOVE this game to pieces. The cool music, the colorful stages, THE ADORABLE YOSHI, etc. This game just takes me on a huge nostalgia trip and I will never stop loving it. I lost my OG copy unfortunately, so I had to re-download it on my Wii. When I replayed it, the charm and everything was still there, but it was just freakishly easy years later. So years later, I come to a realization that this game is easy as sh&t(collecting all of the melons in each stage poses quite a challenge though). But as easy as this game is, this has to be the easiest boss in all of vidya games. If he damages you, lick him to recover! Rinse and repeat and boom next chapter.

Wow, that looks like the easiest boss ever. Didn't even take more than a minute to beat him, XD....

Those green slimey things that wobble through A Link to The Past as enemies, kinda look like a certain sextoy.

Nahhh, Mysterio in Spiderman 2 (the movie tie in) still takes the cake for easiest boss ever.

Like 6 health bars and a big build up to the fight, dies in one punch. I'm not even sure if he has attacks or not.
