These catchables available on mystery islands?

Hi there.

currently trying to get the last catchable bug/fishes.

they are sooo hard to get even though i am trying to get them under the right time/season. ive been trying for days and time travel, but dont have any luck

are these better to catch on mystery islands? Is their catch rate higher?

The Golden Stag is a lot easier on the mystery island if you look for it past 7PM (to avoid butterflies). Destroy all flowers (just run through them; picking is a waste of time) and chop and dig up all trees except the palm ones. Then just keep walking around the island in circles until you spot one. Do NOT run. Takes some time, but who knows if you get lucky.

For the fish, the best approach is to just keep throwing bait into the water until you get the desired shadow size. The downside is, you need A LOT of bait. I caught all of my fish on my island. I'm not sure if there's some truth to it, but they say the Barreleye spawns near the rocks on the shore.

As for the deep sea critters, they are just super rare. Either the game RNG loves you, or it really hates you. It doesn't really matter if it's your island or not. To save time, just chase after the right shadow and ignore others you're not after.

the Golden Stag idea is helpful going to try this later today , hopefully i catch it now!

Bait gathering can be tedious, but as a bonus, sometimes your villagers will mention that you were doing it a lot the day after, and that can be... entertaining. XD

Finally got a few! This is my updated list

Been trying to get the Golden Stag for hours now on a mystery island. Its the bamboo island, so its very convenient for stags to spawn. But somehow no Golden Stag yet

i only need the giant trevally…

anyone have tips for me? Been trying long time with no luck

Unfortunately, luck is the only thing that can help you. If you're fishing for the right size of shadow from the pier or dock (the dock on mystery islands also works for pier fish!) at the correct time of day and during the correct month, then you've already given yourself the best chances you can. All you can do is just keep trying until you get lucky. Once again, if you want to get the fish quickly, bait is the main thing you need, since it allows you to keep trying again and again for the fish you want very rapidly.

If you're not against save scumming, you can make 20 bait, wait for the game to autosave, then set a timer for under three minutes (I did 2:30 to be safe) and fish, always spreading bait until you get the right shadow size. If you don't get anything before your timer's up, exit the game without saving and repeat. That way, you at least don't have to waste time making bait.

after 100+ bait i finally got my very last collectible for the museum!!!

now getting to think of a new goal to complete lol…
