I have been waiting like a week and a half for my GTA 4 to come in. I ordered it online, and so far nothing. Sucks. I hear people on cod4 commenting on how cool it is, and that after the match they're going to play it.

>.<

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Even though it probably doesn't help, it is a great game.

Email the people you ordered it from online, or track the package or whatever.

My brother emailed them and they said it would be here in a few days, like 3 days ago.

Are you serious? Your parents won't let you get the game.... Heck my dad plays the game(San Andreas and Vice City)

I usually don't have to follow ESRB, in fact my parents have never denied me an M game lol

but GTA IV is just plain disgusting. Anyways, the gameplay isn't even that great, so why get it?

Have you seen the reviews? A perfect 10 out of 10. I've even played the game at my friends. You can buy your own plot of land and make it look badass.

Reviews mean nothing. If a review even slightly changes your idea of a game, that's just pathetic.

And there are hundreds of games that let you do that... That kind of thing is boring anyways though.

And apparently the game play doesn't suck if its in such high demand. I see people on all the time playing it. Fact beats opinion, buddy.

dude. Just because a bunch of people play it all the time doesn't mean it's good.

Millions play Halo 3 daily. If you're a fanboy, I'll go into stereotype mode. Millions have pre-ordered Wii Fit. Just because tons of people play it doesn't mean it's any good. Halo 3 is one of the most popular games on the market, although it's at the peak of mediocrity.

If tons of people continue to play the game doesn't that mean they like the game? If tons of people play it, that means it IS good. It would only not be good if people stopped playing it.

Millions have pre-ordered Wii Fit.

The mostly only people that buy Wii Fit want lose weight without going outside, not to have fun.

You seem to trust the average human brain. Bad move. xD

People are stupid. They'll play games like Halo 3 and GTA IV because people tell them it's good, making their simple minds almost oblivious to the obvious gameplay faults.

Like I said, how many people play is not a valid measure of how good a game is.
Proof? Halo 3.

Fact beats opinion, buddy.
Your opinion is that the game is good. No facts there. Not saying I have facts though. I don't. I'm just saying, the only reason the game is known to be good is because IGN said so.

How do you know that people only play the game because it got a 10 out of 10 and because people tell them its good, ya know not everyone is as inferior as you think.

One reason people play the game is because you don't have to follow the storyline, you can just go around and kill and attack things. They ignore the game faults because that would ruin the game experience for them. If you ran around a game and thought about all the faults, would you really be having any fun?

My fact was that it was in high demand and that people are still continuing to play the game. When did I ever say that my fact was that I thought the game was good.

I could give you a painfully large list of games that let you "just go around and kill and attack things", the majority of them being more free than GTA.

Here's a fact. The fact that tons of people play and love GTA says nothing about how good a game is. I know I'm saying this a lot, but.... Halo 3. xD

Exactly. People ignore it because they really want to have fun with GTA IV. How can a game be good when you actually have to TRY to have fun playing it?

Wait, so you're saying if a game sells well, that automatically means it's good?

Hello Carnival Games...

I'm not saying GTA4 is bad... I haven't even played it. I'm sure it's great.

GTA 4 has more then just going around and killing things. Every game has its flaws. If you actually take the time to play the game you might like it, instead of just the first few minutes, or just playing its predecessors. GTA4 is bigger than all of the "you go around and kill things" games. In those games can you get in helicopter? Shoot people with a fire hose? Get in a car? Can you buy land? Can you play online.

Yea it has its flaws, but most people don't notice them because they're to caught up in the fun of the game.

Whoa there.

Subjective opinions have their uses. These people are (mostly) payed to give their experienced opinion on a title, so listening to their opinion is most definitely useful.

That being said, whether or not you think a game is good depends on your taste.

I prefer word-of-mouth for considering a game's merits, however I've found that some people opinions to be completely the opposite of mine once I actually play a game.

GTA IV is great, but I haven't had much time to spend in the single player yet.

I still prefer CoD4's multiplayer at this point. The two are quite different however, so it may not be rational to compare them.

I know my dad would yet me get it, (I was playing UT when I was like... 7?) but I live with my mom and she won't let me get it =/
This is the first time she's said no. I blame fox news.

Just ask your dad to get it for you. Then hide it from your mom.
