The Pikmin Thread - Pikmin 4 already?!

Christ, and we don't even have a real Animal Crossing game for Wii U... or ever will for that matter.

For starters, who really cares about Pikmin. Nobody's asking for more Pikmin. The games don't even sell well. I would be surprised if Pikmin 3 has sold more than 600 or 650 000 copies worldwide.

At this point I'm thinking Miyamoto just stopped bothering with what people want and just does what he feels like doing.

I think your mistaken about Pikmin, it has a loyal fanbase and as a member of this group, I really look forward to this. I felt a bit cheated by Pikmin 3, not that it was a real bad game, but I expected much more. Maybe it was indeed more of an introduction game like someone said, to show of the gameplay and maybe even the possibilities of the system itself.

Miyamoto has never been about giving what people want, he creates what he wants and inevitably, we all want it. If he was guided by the fanbase, he would probably end up maing 4 Zelda`s a year. for me there is some sort of purity in what he does. It really feels like a warm bath to me whenever I play one of his bigger projects, because there is so much love put into it. You can`t really do that, if you just give in to following demand.

I'd have to agree with that. I'm looking forward to the game as well.

I'd like to hope that we get both but I would rather have Pikmin 4 because Animal Crossing New Leaf is enough to keep me going for a while and I prefer handheld Animal Crossing games anyway.

I wonder if we'll see Olimar/Louie again or Alph/Brittany/Charlie, more new characters or perhaps a mix of them. I think there'd be too many if we had more than those five (six if the president makes an appearance).

I am so pumped. I still need a Wii U and Pikmin 3, but I am soooooooo pumped. I love Pikmin a whole ton, though I really wish I could have the first 2 for GameCube. but they cost too much to justify the price. >: I bought Pikmin 2 for the Wii because I love that game... but I had a bad time because I'm not good at keeping my hand steady. so many really bad Pikmin deaths... x__x

I'm super excited for this! I adore Pikmin, it's part of my childhood <3
Pikmin 2 has to be my favorite game in the series. All the characters, pikmin and enemies were so creative and likable xD The story was excellent as well! I hope Pikmin 4 will include playable characters/ and pikmin from both Pikmin 2 and 3

tbh i haven't even 100% finished pikmin 2 because the fkn holes make me frustrated.

I hope they keep the shared onion just because its much more convenient.
Also, I hope they add purple and white pikmin back into the store since the only way to grow them was through the holes and that was frustrating lol.
