I just clicked on someone’s profile and got sent to the same link. I don’t think I clicked an ad, but I was redirected to the scam link again. Unless the site is being really buggy or something similar, I didn’t have to click on an ad to be redirected to this scam
Yeah, it was popping up for me randomly while scrolling a thread on mobile. I made sure I wasn't near an ad.
I got redirected to it earlier when I was trying to get to new posts . I know I wasn’t near the ads. So was confused why it brought me there.
Thanks for the info. I've disabled ads for logged-in users, at least for the weekend, until our ad company can look into it more thoroughly.

Is there really not gonna be a summer event? :(
what I was thinking. I get it, there are issues at hand that are arguably much more important to take care of first, and I appreciate staff taking the time to address these issues. but I can't help but feel sad that there's no Camp/Fair this year 😔 maybe something smaller would be nice.

respectfully, it's not going to be a good look considering the seriousness of some of said issues and the continued lack of response and transparency from staff regarding them. as a result, the user base has also taken a big hit with a lot of users being minimally active if not outright leaving. even i only check once every few days now despite being chronically online. the continued mishandling of this thread, the issues raised, and a certain someone's ban, just make this such an exhausting, frustrating place to be, and watching them try to pull off a summer event as if nothing happened would just make things worse. (assuming there would even be enough people to participate.) i don't know that i have faith in certain staff to judge things fairly at this point either. trustworthy/reliable are not currently words i would use to describe this site or its staff. (sans maybe, like, two of them.)

We can do it instead if the many staff are most busy? Making it unofficial summer event? No rewardings but fun for every person!

I know you mean well, but you're new so you don't realize the magnitude of some of these events and how much effort is put into them. Putting aside the current issues at hand, events are almost a full time job when they're happening and I can say that any regular member here isn't going to put that effort in. And others won't join because most join in solely for the rewards (collectibles)

Not trying to be rude, but I feel like this is what would happen. We have a forum category for non-staff/non-event games to be hosted and it's quite dead over there. Plenty of Mario Kart sessions hosted by members never happened and when I tried to host Smash sessions I really didn't get any interest. But staff would host them and everyone would be jumping to sign-up because some collectible was rewarded. I thought about doing that with bells, but that's kind of sad that I would need to pay people to play with me lol. So I never bothered.

This is not the attitude to great things my friend!

This is not be full time job. I have employment because I am construction worker. A wrong attitude indeed for if a place is a community, we must become willing to give, not always for what we can take.

Work together for make a something most beautiful. It different but it is not different that is bad and we must become finding beauty in what the working together can be a make to look like. It is like this a construction worker srsrs

I am new this much is to be the true and it is most difficult to understand this thread. I come to practice English and I made a let down of myself to use translation app for reading some of long posts and I still cannot all follow things and events and what every problem is.

But I think it is now a time of to move on. If some of this Users do not make a want of a posting on here now, it is the choice of them. The people left behind only choice to move on and make a build of something new, with what we have yet here left over.

I think as a replacement for the summer event, each user who submitted the survey should get a glow wand of their choice.
Did we get this 25 bells for this the survey link? I do not have it. I do survey but no?

The enthusiasm is nice, but @/-Blue- means it literally. The work required in these events by staff is basically equivalent to a full time job. It’s not a matter of attitude, it’s factual. People show genuine concern for the staff’s well-being when they hold more events than usual. There’s hours of effort and planning put into these and it’s way, way too much to ask of any normal member. The reason staff does it in the first place is because it’s fun for the community, and considering that 90% of it is gone or barely active, there’s even less of a chance that anyone would want to do this, let alone participate in it for no reward. Especially when you consider how most of the people who are still here didn’t participate in events very often when the site was actually being used by people. I know you won’t be able to respond because cooldown, but really consider this.

It is not full time job that is the wrong conclusion. We must all work together and making this just a community event by this community and for this community. Many of us work together and it is no task at all!

You never do anything unless you do try!

Again, I don’t think you realize the scale of these events. It is a full time job. Maybe like, five (and I’m being generous with that estimate) of the currently active members would be willing to do this, so it would be even harder for the community to do it than it is for staff, especially since most members have more important things to do than hold events. And, as I said, most people aren’t even going to participate in it, so what would be the point?

Edit: adding on to what @/-Blue- said below me, the four hour cooldown is starting to piss me off. It does not need to be in place. No one still uses this site, let alone this thread, so it’s not like things will get heated again.

Thanks for taking the time to say that all.

I've tried hosting Smash sessions on the forum it was literally crickets most times except for one member. If I had offered everyone a blue car collectible I am sure all the members would be scrambling to join a session, but that's just really a disheartening and sad situation.

I don't think I've ever been part of a forum or community that did something even as close to events. Which yes they are fun, but take an insanely amount of time and effort by the staff to do. And some times actual real physical currency and prizes can be rewarded as prizes.

Also members are literally editing their posts to talk to each other because the cooldown is so stupidly long. We don't need it to be 4 hours anymore. Or probably never. There was a point where there was a lot of back and forth and so you probably thought a cooldown was necessary, but this is the deadest I've seen the forums.

Being so much negativity get us nowhere, come on friends!

Please stop say this full time job. I have real full time job and is not this, making a summer event. Must be respect for workers it is really hard. When you are not a staff member yourself you cannot say this is full time job. You have not done this ever! Need great attitude, come on!

Adding me to list of 5 of Users making 6. We can do it!

Funny you say to respect workers when you refuse to acknowledge the amount of work involved in running an event.

When you are not a staff member yourself you cannot say this is NOT a full time job.

By the way, it comes off kind of condescending calling people friends when you've never interacted with them before. Almost makes me wonder if you're a troll account.
I am construction worker this is real hard job, please be respect to this. You are also not staff so you can say this to me why? I just wanting to us all help to do some fun thing and you make it rude.

It become like this you want the place and community to just not be function anymore?

I will not be a tolerate of your rude because my English is still learning. Do not think of attack me this way. It is more than even rude.

I call people this friends to show of my intention is good but my language is English only my third language. Speak so many languages as me before make a judgement on words I use.

Hello! I think there's a bit of miscommunication happening here. What people are saying is that the events, which are made and run by the staff, are basically the workload equivalent of a full time job for the staff. The staff themselves have talked about in the past how much time and work goes into events. Participating in events also takes a lot of time and work, though it is up to you how much time you want to spend on each activity. The events tend to last a week at a minimum, and can last as long as a month. I see that you are new here, hopefully some day soon there will be a new event so that you can see what it's like! They are a lot of fun.
Thank you for post this but I can disagree with this be full time job. I am make suggest to make this small community event for community by community.

It being more than miscommunication to calling me bad names and to call me troll and pick on my language use when it is easy to see English not the language I know so much.

Instead of do so much negativity and moping about the place is not good, we make it for a better? Why I get call bully names for this is not alright?

^Check this link out.

It is a list of the events that have happened. You should check it out so you can get an understanding of what an event is like. And why we're saying it takes staff a lot of time and effort to make them happen. There was probably once a time when events were very small, but many of them in recent years are really extravagant. You probably won't understand just how big they are unless you join one, but you can go through that link so you can at least get an understanding.

For example April Fool's of this year was a 3 day team event where you chose what flavor you wanted to represent. The idea was to beat the other team flavors by smearing ice-cream over their posts, which could be done by reacting to their post with a now gone ice-cream reaction. And it would actually show the post covered in ice-cream and each time you reacted it would make a splatting sound. To expect a member to do something to this magnitude is asking too much.

At the same time, I do think the grandness of some of these events has spoiled a lot of us. There's no way I would probably ever see another forum or place online hold something so big. And not only that, but for free. I've paid more for less entertainment.

Expecting a member to put on a event as big as they currently are is expecting a lot and doing something small won't interest a lot of members because again like I said we got spoiled with the grandness of the events. Of course, this is also putting aside all that has happened recently that made a large number of the community take a leave of absence indefinitely or temporarily. Which is one of the bigger reasons.
A suggest to do small event is bad thing because event in past be much bigger? Not one member to do this, we can do together.

You like post call me bully names and ridicule my language struggle for why? I have talk with you nothing but respect it is no need for unkind and rude.
I am sorry but I don’t think an event right now is a good idea. They really do take a lot of work. Right now we need to focus on making things better for all. Even if we could get enough people for an event it would still need to be accepted by staff and staff moderated. I think it is really dismissive of people’s feeling to hold an event before things are worked out.

There have been problems with events in the past that need to be addressed before moving forward with new events. It may not seem like it but events have a lot of behind the scenes things that go on to make events fun.
They really take a lot of time and care to hold events. No one is trying to disrespect full time jobs since many of us including staff have them. It just not as simple to just have a summer event. It takes time and planning,
You did also like post did call me bully names and ridicule language. Maybe this could be more reason why people not to be here and new User do not stay.

It is time to move on from the past argument and move forward for new beginning. Moping is not the way to help. It is not to join in bully either.

Very much disappointing behaviour has gone here. Some of you need to be watchful of your words to new people when they not even speak your language so well. It is become snobbery and you can be better than this I believe it.

You calling people bully names is bad and people like post with bully names just as bad as bully.

@-Blue- you like post with Tude calling me this troll and ridiculing me for call them friends who you know English not be easy for me. That is what I mean it and you know that is true.

Speak to me broken Bulgarian or broken German and see if you do enjoy being this Dog Piled and User do like post being rude to you, call you troll and say how you speak is wrong.

Please less negativity and some more growing up.

I'm probably wasting my time posting this...

No one is calling you names or bullying you. We're trying to inform you on the way things are on the forum. But you're so quick to judge us while pointing your finger and saying the same to us.

I am sure there is a language barrier here, but how would you react to me or any of us speaking to you in broken Bulgarian and acting the way you are to us? I doubt you would be as responsive or cordial to us as we have been to you. Practice what you preach.

If you want proof of members doing small things, here's two things I've done. For the record I didn't do these to make new events for us. Especially because that would be in poor taste considering everything that has happened. I just thought it would be fun to do. I understand that many of us have left for reasons I completely understand and sympathize with. It also comes off as condescending when you're just as capable of doing something small like you're trying to push everyone to do.

you most likely are unfortunately blue but good on ya for trying

a few users here have tried to explain that staff (or even anyone tbh) holding an event now would not be a right move for anyone at this time. it's already been decided by Jeremy in this post here that events would not be held because the focus has been shifted to giving the site rules an overhaul. this is not a simple matter of everyone just "moving on" or being "negative" which feels extremely dismissive to read. i don't understand what is to be gained by telling everyone that everything should just be forgotten to hold a big event when the forum is in the state it's currently in. i think the cool down is still set to 4 hours but i'm genuinely hoping a staff member is able to respond to this certain topic soon or shut this current topic down cause i don't think it's gonna end here.

I reacted to Tude's post because of this. When I react to someone's posts it's not because I agree with everything they said. Just that something in their post was something I am in agreement with.
You say to me nobody is call names or bully, but you say to me you did not like the post for the bully or name calls, just one sentence. This shows to me you do know it was bully and name calling if you want say you did not like for that.

How so would it being for you if people liked a post that say I think this @-Blue- is troll and I not like how they say words and then people did a like to it and then say they were just doing a like for just a few words? You would not feel it is good.

Do not believe it is acceptable to speak about broken English that is being discriminate. I would never to be this rude to someone talking in broken Bulgarian I am not do this. Mind your own bigotry before speak this way to some who struggle with your language. I was not being saying at all bad, you just make assume because I not just defeat and complain with all of this. I was make a try to do a nice thing and become treat like this way.

The 4 hours time is not be lifted because some of you make too much an enjoyment of Dog Pile behaviour. Look at the men in the mirror sometime before make complaint that everybody else is problem or even this staff not doing what you want and give you things you want. Look at it yourself sometimes.

I am in no way bullying you. Just trying to explain why it’s a bad time for events. It is not time to just forget and move on. Things need to be addressed first. If not the same problems will just continue to happen. People care about TBT and the people here and just want this place to improve. Just moving on when things happen is one of the reasons things got bad to begin with.
