You can talk to her again and tell her you've changed your mind, and she'll 'release' you temporarily while remaining in your town. =) Or, try running fast and it'll have the same effect. She won't be able to catch up.

Edit: I'd actually be happy to take her, it's just that I just dropped Katie off so I'm not sure if your Katie will drop her ticket if she tries to come over. Do you want to try?

Sorry, just saw this Unfortunately she dropped her ticket, so I guess you can't take Katie on the same day that you send her off elsewhere. =p
