The Fountain changes on the hour

I'm not sure how many other people have come across this but the fountain actually reacts and produces more water jets when the hour changes.

I freaked out when I first saw this during a meteor shower. Lol. I only planned a fountain in a small park somewhere in a remote area but after seeing it do that, it immediately went to the courtyard in front of my town hall.

I once thought something was different about the fountain but I did not look into it or take much notice after. I will now check it out every time my character passes by.

Yes! I happened to be around my fountain when the clock reached the hour and I was so pleasantly surprised.
