That's a common mistake, me being American I can tell you America does not care about just themselves, as they rely on other countries to keep themselves moving, I will admit I America has went for the worse lately because of a Certain George Bush and a certain pointless War in Iraq, but America is not selfish, a country can't be selfish as it's just a large piece of land, Presidents and Congress only care about themselves, America does not.

I probably know 20 times more going on outside of the US than you do outside of where you live

This discrimination against America is ridiculous. The citizens of America are no more or less ignorant than the citizens of the other western nations. There are idiots and there are intelligent people, but I assure you that the idiots do not make up 3/4s of the country. Otherwise, Obama would not have just been elected.

You find fault with Americans because you believe they are ignorant of the rest of the world...if you make this ignorant assumption about America, you are the same as the people you are insulting.
