^ Yeah, that's a good point. It will be annoying if I keep the two last slots open for temporary villagers, decide I love the 9th one, and can't get rid of the 10th because of that. I'm guessing that it's just easier to at least rotate between villagers I know I really want, though I'm also concerned about annoying people if I adopt villagers from them and then pass them on or void them.
Thanks for the advice, everyone! I really like most personalities, but for most of them, there's multiple villagers that I love. I tend to solve this by keeping myself to one villager of each when I really like a villager. For example, I love my cranky and don't want to get rid of him, so to keep his dialogue interesting and not just a repetition of what another villager says, I don't want to have another long-term cranky. The problem is that even doing that, there would still be more than one or two repeat personalities, and I can't decide which one(s) to remove from my list.

this is why I wanted to have a second town because I couldn't deal with the limitation any longer and I wanted to experience having other villagers and see how they were like having around.
What I did was write down all the villagers I wanted then I short them down by the ones I really liked and also making sure it was a one of each personality.
Writing them down sounds like a good idea, I'll do that!
I've considered getting a second town and I might do it eventually, though for now, I don't think I'd have enough time to keep up with more than one town.
