Terrible Issue... I would really appreciate the help...

I am experiencing an terrible issue right now and I would really appreciate the help.

I have got a possible issue with Nintendo of Europe... I placed a preorder down on two copies of the new Splatoon amiibo Pack (XL) from their Nintendo UK Store as seen on this page here. I originally preordered two copies of the game as I wanted two copies because I am a collector, but then I asked my friend what he wanted for his upcoming birthday and he said that he would really like Splatoon and I agreed to give him one of mine for his birthday.
He has spent a lot on me in the past even though friendship is not about money...

Important Note: I placed the preorders BEFORE they imposed a One Per Customer limit

Here is the message relay that happened.

I sent this message to Nintendo Store. This was before I told my friend that I would give him one of them.

"This is not really a problem, but I was just curious... I placed my order down for two copies of this bundle (Order: 52299777) and I do want two of them because I am a collector, but I have now noticed that the store has put up "One Per Customer" signs and now I am concerned whether you will be honouring my original order or whether I should go elsewhere and preorder another as I want to have two bundles.

Will that original order be honoured or not?
I did place the order BEFORE the One Per Customer limit was placed."

Like I said earlier, I did want two for myself at first, but then my friend said that he liked the look of Splatoon and I told him I would get it him for his birthday in June which he appreciated a lot.

But today, I received the following message back from Nintendo.

At this time we do not have any announcements on if the 1 per customer policy will be applied to orders such as yours. If this does occur then we will send you email notification.

If you require any further information or assistance, please feel free to contact a member of our support team via your account.

So you can probably see my issue. It is not confirmed whether it will be cancelled and I have messaged them back to state that one is for my friend's birthday, but now I will explain the general issue.

I don't know whether to cancel this uncertain one and preorder elsewhere or wait to see what they say.
But all in all, it is extremely uncertain that Nintendo is going to let me have two copies regardless...

I would wait for Nintendo to reply, and if they don't, or say you can't order two, I would go preorder it somewhere else.

The issue with that is it may not be in stock elsewhere before Nintendo reply because it apparently takes them 24 to 48 hours to reply. How would I resolve that?

If I were to be you, I would play safe and try placing a preorder on the same exact pack from somewhere elsewhere whenever possible.
If that's not an option, you could try getting as many Splatoon-related stuff as you can. You might even want to plan on visiting retailers during Splatoon's launch day as soon as the store opens, though there's no guarantee you'll certainly get those. If that doesn't sound like possible to you, then you can always get something else your friend would like. This is just in case one of your Nintendo UK Store preorders get cancelled due of its suddenly enforced rule. If you do wind up having all of them honored, then congratulations! It is better to play safe in this case than to take a risk.

I went to GAME.co.uk and I made a PayPal preorder of the following items and it is only ?5.98 more than Nintendo Store.
Splatoon with Inkling Squid amiibo, Inkling Boy amiibo and Inkling Girl amiibo (Wii U)
Splatoon with Inkling Squid amiibo (Wii U)
Inkling Girl - amiibo - Splatoon Collection (Amiibo)
Inkling Boy - amiibo - Splatoon Collection (Amiibo)

That gives me everything that I wanted as well except for the cool t-shirt that Nintendo Store offer.
