Good grief.
Last month I flew with United Airlines from the United States to Costa Rica and it was a terrible experience. Here's what happened:
I flew with them from Jackson, Mississippi, to San Jos?, Costa Rica via Houston and back. Well, here's what happened:
On June 17, our flight from Jackson to Houston was cancelled due to the tropical storm that had hit Houston. So, then, due to limited seating on the flights, we couldn't leave until two days later, and then, while were able to make it to Houston, our flight from Houston to San Jos? was delayed by three hours (we were supposed to leave at 9 p.m., but we didn't board until midnight) and then the flight attendant announced over the intercom that the flight was cancelled because the pilot, who was supposed to be coming in from Orlando, had flown too many hours. It turned out there was no pilot on the plane. So, they kicked us all off the plane and sent us to customer service, and the line was long as there was one other flight that was cancelled (going to Buenos Aires) and they treated them as more important than us. We were stuck in the airport until 4 a.m. when they managed to let us stay at the Hyatt but I wasn't able to go to sleep due to traffic until 6 a.m. and I had to wake up two hours later to go back to the airport. Then, when we finally got to San Jos?, they lost our bags.
What did you think of that story, and post your horrible experiences here.
