One day, I've been plot resetting for Pashmina for many, many hours. There have been times where she did moved to the area I want for her to be in, but since I was that much of a perfectionist, I kept on resetting until she moves into the exact spot I'd like for her to be. Then without even noticing, I accidentally chose my mayor and Pashmina has plot her house right in front of my own. I don't ever get frustrated with ACNL, but this is one of the very few times where I was feeling very annoyed with what I done.

My horror story was losing a bunch of new fish and hudnreds of thousands of bells due to connection dying while on island with friend. UGh that was annoying, and ever since, I can never seeem to catch a shark!

I was working on a dress, and accidentally dropped my 3ds in the floor. It said game card was removed, but it was still in my DS. So, I lost my cute dress I worked on, and it was over 3 hours of work, since my perfectionist in me wanted it really cute. Meh. :/

Losing one of my villagers I had only got earlier that day because I was time travelling to get another villager out. Even though I'm quite experienced at cycling by now, I completely messed it up. That was pretty soul destroying, I didn't play for a month after that. Also on these new ds' the game card is at the bottom, which is great for people like me who are naturally clumsy. Lost a whole day's work before now, always save in between now though. I did learn ;-)
I still remember this day vividly. I was working on custom patterns for my beach. I had already done all of my daily chores (i.e. weeding, digging up fossils, selling stuffs, etc). Then I start to make my two-pattern beach towel design. After a couple of hours of pixel arting, shading, and color picking, I go to close my 3DS to take a break, my fingers clutched over the game slot as I was setting the closed 3DS down. I grasped too hard and my game cartridge ejects. :|
I frantically push it back in to see if it hadn't registered, but it was too late. I got an on-screen error and had lost all of my progress. There were many tears T_T lol
P.S. After much grieving, I managed to muster up the inspiration to remake my designs and it worked out just fine

A lot of these are the reason I have AC:NL on digital rather than cartridge.
Anyway, I had a landscaper over and they were pretty nice. All they were doing was flowers though, so I thought the work was worth around 10 TBT. Lo and behold, a Resetti pops up on our screens. We lost the progress and I had offered to pay double. They then insisted I gave them 40 instead of 20 because I gave my other 2 landscapers (who did a much better job, may I add) 35.
I later became poor in terms of TBT. Then I won a giveaway.

THESE STORIES ARE DISTRESSING
1. That happened in May of this year. On a random morning I started my game... To get the corruption message. I almost had a heart attack (xD) and I spent the day trying to find a solution... I moved my files on another SD card (my game is digital), it didn't help... I also used the repair tool for digital games from the eShop, didn't help either...
2. This one might seem stupid... It was when I had just got New Leaf, when the game came out. It was late in the evening, maybe midnight or around that. I was in the ocean, searching for creatures. I was kinda sleepy and about to close the game, when I got a scallop... OMG, the face I made must have been priceless! xD I didn't know Pascal appeared out of the water when you catch a scallop... xD Now, everytime I catch a scallop I think of this evening, lol.

A while back, before I knew the game very well, I obtained 3 pictures from my villagers. (not by blanca) Spork, Merengue and Willow were all in my town at once and I loved them dearly. My main room was dedicated to their pictures. However, my friend (was very new to the game) and I played together, and he got my game instead of a blank copy that my brother wasn't using. I'm guessing he looked up how to change the date on a ds, or animal crossing, because when I played my copy, I noticed that weeds were everywhere, I opened it, and I hit my town map. Willow had left and Merengue was in boxes. I tried to turn back time a day (don't do this) and ended up moving her out. While I did have Spork, I also got Cherry, whom I would later despise. I didn't like her personality, nor that she moved in front of my accidental blue violets. Which took me forever to get. Not to mention, I had never experienced Halloween before in acnl, and they RUINED my clothes. (Didn't know about catalogging) I reset my game because I got so mad and upset in so little time. I couldn't stay mad at my friend though

That's terrible! To lose 2 at once! When I lost Beardo by my own time traveling accident, I was devastated.
Then I bought a new game because I didn't want to restart town or finish the 16 cycle.
I had do restart, I couldn't do anything else :/ Now I'm happy with my new town, probably more than how I felt about the one I lost.
My only regret is that I never made a dream adress for it!Similar threads
