I bought some wooden eggs from the craft store and wanted to make sure if this size is okay to use?

They look like they might be too tall, but it's difficult to gauge through a picture alone. Can you either set them next to a real egg, or measure the height for me?

For reference, a typical chicken egg is about 2.2 to 2.6 inches long, while a typical duck egg is about 2.6 to 2.8 inches long.

The height is about 3 inches, it's too tall. The reference helps, thank you!

Oh no 😰 After reading this, I got worried and tried measuring the plastic eggs I’ve been using for the past couple years… I think they’re also 3 inches tall. Oh my gosh I feel so bad- I’m so sorry!!! 😭
🫂 No need to feel bad, it makes sense to trust store-bought stuff and assume that it's roughly the same size.

The reason the rule exists is because we want to keep the competition fair by having everyone work with roughly the same canvas. For example, because goose eggs are so much bigger, it's easier to draw and fit detailed patterns on them, as opposed to chicken and quail eggs.

There are 4 Backdrops to choose from now! New
In other news, we oopsed! You should now have four Reoccurring Backdrops to choose from: Bunny Breakdown, Easter Blush, Opalescent Oleander, and Easter Equinox. :) Opalescent Oleander was just very shy!

Honestly Opalescent Oleander is the nicest 🥰 I’m saving tbt as much as I can so not buying but they are so pretty and artists who designed thank you.

Thinking but probably not entering egg decoration but so excited to see entries! Egg hunt I am hopeless so probably another no for this year (miss my wee team so much 😢) 🫶

Good luck everyone! 🐣💜

Very shy you say? I was the one holding on to it the past few days.

Thanks 🥹
I went out and bought some correctly-sized plastic eggs, and comparing them to the old ones, I’m shocked at the difference! I have no sense of scale 😅
